Things to do in Hamilton
There are quite a number of good Indian carry-outs in Hamilton but, for me, 7 Spices is still my favourite. Food is cooked in an open kitchen and freshly prepared. It is probably not the cheapest in town (although there are good value deals on offer) but the quality of the food is excellent and the portions are very generous.

âOnly Takeaway In Lanarkshire To Win 14 AwardsâThis is the boast from the House Of Shah! Unfortunately they havenât won an award since 2016, and after my visit I realised why! Sat for a good 25 minutes waiting on my order even though there was no one else but the staff in the shop. When they eventually brought it out, the guy apologised for me waiting so long. Ordered punjabi garlic masala, pilau rice a garlic man and popadoms. The food smelled delicious as I took it home, but the aroma was the only good thing about it. The garlic masala was swimming in oil, the garlic nan was a plain nan smothered in garlic oil and the popadoms were soggy! Like I said, they havenât actually won an award since 2016 and I canât say that Iâm surprised. Iâll be giving the House Of Shah a wide berth from now on.

The food was acutall not bad and the service was good but there were 14 of us and we were all given plastic straws without asking for them. When I challenged the managere on their use of plastic straws he looked at me as if I had fallen out of the sky.I boycott restaurants without a decent environmenatl policy/practices andd won't be visitng again until hey do mor eto address their carbon footprint and plastic use.

Had friends over on Saturday night and decided to order in takeaways having previously sat in the restaurant with the same friends and everyone thought the food was amazing. Once again the food was delicious and everyone really enjoyed their choice of meal. Best food in Hamilton and having moved here from Kelvingrove where mother India was our local Indian restaurant this place certainly equals it for their food.

Modern casual dining Indian restaurant where the focus is great food combined with great service.
I visit semi- regularly but always when my son flies home from southern England. The buffet is absolutely outstanding and is wonderfully naturally flavoursome- none of your artificially coloured dishes- just good, wholesome food. Exceptionally well priced and staff members are always peasant and helpful. It does only open evenings and tables for small numbers cannot be booked so you may have to wait. Free parking for patrons.

Our Mission: âTo make sure that the very best of Indian Food is available to everyone. We love Indian cuisine, and we know you share our passionâ
Have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions but since we hadn't been for over a year thought we'd try it again. While the food is good the service was a shambles. It took three attempts for drinks to be delivered. In fact the girl who took the initial order was never to be seen again during our time in the restaurant. One of the most annoying things is they have wine glasses on the table when you sit down. We ordered a bottle of of wine and as we did the waitress took the glasses away . I said "but we are having wine" She said "no we bring other glasses". When they did they only brought two but there were three of us. Then when they brought the third glass I had to send it back because it was wet and hadn't been dried. Bizarre! We had our starters delivered before any water or wine which we had asked for. There were at least three men at a time hanging about tables in a less than spacious area at the front of the restaurant not doing very much then getting in each others way as dishes were being served. It was like a competition and when something wasn't delivered correctly there was this desire to find out who mucked up the order and apportion blame rather than rectify immediately the error. Then the bill was wrong. They had added the price of a glass of wine to the bill. This obviously for the third empty glass they had to be asked to bring. The women were each given a red rose before leaving but that didn't make up for shambolic service. Wonder if in this day of equality they will consider providing something similar for men.

Wonderfully tasty food, one of the best jalfrezi's ive ever had and my partners was equally amazing. The haggis ang chicken pakora was sublime. The pre theatre menu is extremely good value for money. We will be back and takeaway will be ordered.Highly recommend!
