A family run business and one of the most popular venues in the Borders, providing meals of the highest quality using local produce. Known as a place to celebrate with friends and family, enjoy the ever popular steak nights, Sunday Roast, a romantic setti
First visit for lunch. Good parking and access. Spacious dining room. Starters, Cauliflower soup with truffle oil and blackpudding Niciose. Tasty. Then Fish and chips and a lasagne. Both excellent and good portions. We were offered the pensioner lunch but opted for the a la carte. Toilets clean and accessable and the bill modest. We shall be back.

New restaurant same chef and staff as the new delhi bar we have just relocated
The Saffron food has always been very acceptable over the years in my opinion without being exceptional. My main gripe over this period is that it's very tired inside and agree with a previous critique recently by another customer. The place has little or no ambience and on this occasion it was made even more disappointing by one of the young female staff members. It looked like she really didn't want to be there on Saturday night and it showed. No pleasantries from her at all and she kept reaching over the table to serve our food rather serving each of us from behind. However besides that, the rest of the staff were very pleasant and professional. A little more investment in the place and some basic staff training would make this restaurant much more appealing

Only our second visit here but another great evening! Had a meal with two other couples. We all really enjoyed our wide selection of dishes. The battered haggis starter was amazing as recommended by the wonderful waiter (well remembered from the much missed Sergios!). The veal in cream and brandy sauce was also excellent. The service by all members of staff was great and the decor and atmosphere are memorable too. Another great feather in Hawick's cap! We will be back!

Had breakfast here whilst staying in the adjacent Guest House. It's clean, but that is all I can say that is good. Really cheap ingredients, not big portions, just really not very good at all. Many better places locally, where you will get local quality ingredients. very disappointing. Wrote to management, no answers. AVOID

Favourite restaurant. The food is terrific, a nice menu with both European and Turkish food, so something for everyone. The Turkish sharing platter tastes amazing as does all the Turkish dishes, very fresh and tasty. The steak baguette at lunchtime is filling and delicious, and a firm favourite with all the family.

I stumbled upon this place whilst in Denholm. Popped in and I was greeted by lovely welcoming staff. The food was delicious and, although I didnât indulge, the cakes looked gorgeous. Chef was out chatting the customers and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Nice little seated area out the back also.

This was my first visit to Le 2016 after several of my friends had visited it and had given it very positive reviews. We went on a Thursday evening and were given a nice window seat. I noticed that all the tables were immaculately laid and the premises are tastefully furnished. Service was quick, courteous and efficient. Our meals were delicious and they cater extremely well for Coeliacs. Would happily recommend

Had a shared large plate mezze which was simply divine, and excellent value. Thank you all so much. I shall return as soon as I possibly can.

Went for the early bird menu on our stay on Hawick. The menu had good choices and absolutely excellent service. Really enjoyed our options. We had shared nachos then the vegetarian stroganoff and the sticky chicken. For sweet it was chocolate orange cheese cake which was amazing!!! Very full and happy with such lovely staff.
