We recently had dinner here. The walk to the restaurant through the Grand Hall is stunning. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed vibe for a formal dining room. The customer service provided by the staff is first rate. There menu provided a good selection of dishes. Our order was taken promptly, the food was served promptly, was well presented and hot. Most importantly each course was delicious. The Haggis in Whiskey Sauce was fantastic, steaks cooked to perfection and the desserts were beautifully presented. The price for the set menu was £35 per head and we thought it was real value for money. Wine and drink prices were on par with other restaurantsLovely restaurant, great customer service, excellent food and great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

We visited as a family of 14 for a birthday dinner. We reserved the upstairs dining area, which we were allowed exclusive use of. Serving staff were great, and were very attentive. Drinks and meals served promptly and any requests handled quickly. My meal of breaded mushrooms, lasagna and sticky toffee pudding were delicious. They also have a great kids menu. £4.99 meal, dessert and drink, brilliant value, tasty and fresh. Weâll definitely be back, thank you!

I happened to be in area, rain had started , so I thought , where can I find somewhere nice for a quick bowl of soup and get out of rain.Read very appealing tasting menu in window and went in.Iam SO glad I did. Very cheerful guy (Frank , I think was his name ) welcomed me, and told me to take a seat (anywhere I wanted,,,,, that alone was a plus point for me, as sometimes waiters do not give you a choice , despite if place is quiet or not)Menu , choices, and cost were all excellent. The soup I have to say, was delicious !!!! ...Borscht served with lovely whole meal , soft bread, soft butter( with fab sprinkled sea salt over it )I loved my visit here, and I cant wait to bring friends back with me the next time to try more of the offerings on the menu.In summary, a warm welcoming place, with great food and staff.!!!!.

Had the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairings last Saturday. Amazing food and thoughtful wine pairings with great service. This was for s very reasonable price. Would not hesitate to come back and is worth the journey outside the city centre. Highlights were the chicken liver parfait, pigeon, fish with mussels and the blue cheese course. Really great evening!

Went along to see family members who come here regularly at lunchtime and was happy I did. Smart interior, friendly staff and a good menu. On this occasion I went with the BLT sandwich which was very good, served with a good portion of chips and tasty coleslaw. A couple of desserts were ordered and new one on us was cinnamon tortillas beautifully presented and served with ice cream and toffee sauce. Enough for everyone to get a taste. Definitely worth a visit at lunchtime.

Had been a few years since weâd last eaten here so wanted to return due to the excellent TA reviews. The menu had changed and was much better. They do a table buffet at a good price but with limited simple curries so we decided to try curries off their extensive specials menu. Thereâs so many to choose from and many weâd not seen before. The kichori starters are lovely and the garlic nan is huge. We really enjoyed everything we ordered and left feeling very full and satisfied. Highly recommended!!!

Disappointing visit here. The staff were friendly but there were a lot of dirty tables and it took ages for the food to come out (despite the place being mostly empty). The food was fine, it was okay but nothing special. When I tried to order potato salad (comes with pretty much everything you eat in Bavaria), he said they didn't do it any more as nobody ever ordered it, yet it's still there on the menu. None of the food looked anything like the glossy photos on this Trip Advisor page. It's not really Bavarian - they have wurst and one schnitzel but that's it, everything else is burgers or pizza. And the beer choice wasn't brilliant either - for Helles, they had Paulaner on tap or Augustiner in bottles. Hardly a great selection for a place that advertises a "German Beer List". We took my Bavarian brother-in-law hoping it would be fun, but I was a wee bit embarrassed. Watching the ski slope is fun though. If you're after anything remotely authentically German, I'd stick with the Bier Halle or the Brau Haus in the city centre, they're a bit closer to the mark. I definitely wouldn't make the trip to Braehead just to come back here.

Followed friends recommendations and visited here at last.Nice welcome, early enough to chose our table and friendly service throughout our stay.Food was excellent and almost too generous with the portions for main course. Cheese for dessert was super but again, possibly too much. Not a criticism, just a passing comment.Street car parking available but two car parks very close by (both free after 5.30pm).Well worth a visit or two.
