My friend and I had afternoon tea here yesterday, it was all lovely the white chocolate tart was particularly delicious! I really like how they change their menu seasonally as we got to enjoy the Autumn menu. The gin selection is brillant and the staff are really helpful and knowlegable on what mixers go best with what gins. Everyone who served us was really friendly and the atmosphere overall was lovely, welcoming and relaxing. The Gin Spa is right next door and it makes for the perfect pamper day out! They even had a seperate vegetarian afternoon menu which was lovely, all too often us veggies are left as an after thought and I've often had an afternoon tea where the vegetarian sandwiches have been squished next to the meat and have had to be sent back but here they were very considerate with the seperate menu and seperate plate for the food.

We came to the Wild Olive Tree for a light brunch and were not disappointed! The cafe is inside the cathedral, which isnât obvious from the street but is stated very clearly on the website. My mom and I both got a pot of regular tea and a scone with cream; she got the vanilla and sultana scone while I stuck with plain. The scones were very sizable and very good! The space is bright and airy. There are fairy strung all about and artwork displayed for sale about the room. One thing to note: they donât mention it but you seem to need to go pay at the front despite ordering from your table. Another thing worth mentioning is their âpay it forwardâ type program - you can pay whatever amount you want and it will be used to provide soup to local homeless population (which is sadly quite large). Overall, great little cafe with a great cause.

Drawn to visit by this cafeâs name Charles McCune Smith...after the first African American to get a medical degree just a stoneâs throw from the cafe at the Old Glasgow University.Sensible prices for an excellent menu.....all freshly cooked and baked. Staff and owners attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere located in the old part of Glasgow a ten minute walk from George Square. We enjoyed our visit and looking forward to returning to try out more of their excellent food.

Wonderful location, sense of adventure and something different. Was quite busy, great buzz, and started well. We sat, ordered, attentive. Served our meals and drinks. Salad on three of our plates was two uncut leaves of lettuce a cherry tomatoe halfed. We never got any service after this AT ALL. No one asked if food okay, nothing. The young lad polished cutlery. The older lady with dark hair ignored me from my seat twice, INCLUDING eye contact, RUDE! We wanted tea and cakes. Both mum and I went to the counter neither the lad or lady asked to help. Mum got upset as she is old school and painfully polite and shy. I sat at table between 2.40 and 3.25 my three guests left and went to car. Nothing. Not even cleared table. So, no cake or drink sales for you eh! You probably benefit from location but let down by ambivalent team.Hi anspur Iam so sorry you were left unsatisfied by our side salad, homemade coleslaw and turnells crisps which accompany our sandwiches etc, We would have been more than happy to give you more if you had asked. We are a wee tea house with a small community of friends and family that work here, I would like to explain although trip advisor isnât the place for this and if you could call me to explain, you may be a little more understanding as I know my mangers intentions were never to be rude or make you feel ignored.I am sure that you would understand and hopefully you would pop in another time in the future. I am available to discuss this any time. Regards Susan Dalziel on 07856719478

Brilliant place for a breakfast, brunch or lunch thought put into the menu with food thatâs a little different from the norm. Fantastic staff who are very helpful and attentive, itâs only a small place so be prepared for a possible wait for a table but I can assure itâs well worth it.Thanks so much for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it and appreciated the menu Chris

This place was very cute and decorated nicely with fairy lights. The atmosphere was pleasing and had good music playing. The food was up to a high standard as I have had lots of toasties to compare to. Nice staff very happy and would recommend itâs just round the corner from my house!!!!

Went in for a quick bite to eat with my girlfriend. Didn't have what my girlfriend wanted....So she went for an panini. She got the chilli...I got the meatball. She enjoyed hers despite the chilli being more bean than meat....My meatball was cheap swedish meatballs on a panini that was clearly pulled from the freezer. Why do I know this? By the time I got to the end of the panini it was rock hard. The side salad was nice bit towards the end it had a very funny taste to it...Charged I think £2 for a can of juice...same for the water that wasn't chilled. The whole time we're there there are kids running past us..not diners kids...but employees by the sounds of it. I love being round kids and adore my nephew but when you're eating? Not so much...final bill of £16 odds for something I could put together myself for under ten...Not going back.Thank you for your feedback which is always welcome, whether positive or not.We are sorry that you did not feel your food was satisfactory or value for money. However, all of our produce is of a high standard and freshly made to order, including our salad which comes with our own unique dressing. We also have a rating of 4.5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor for value for money. With regards to your comments on children. As you will see from our previous reviews we are a child and family friendly establishment. Many of the children who frequent Bistro 75 have done so since they were babies and are treated as as if they were our own family. We hope you are able to visit Bistro 75 again in the future and leave with a far more enjoyable experience.

I popped into the Butterchurn restaurant inside Caulders.Quick Service as soon as you walk in. It appears to be run very efficiently.A Bright Spacious, clean well lit restaurant.Menu is varied and imaginative. What lets it down poorly its the price of items on the menu. At the time, £1.90 for a soft drink, £2.10 for a fruit juice with some lemonade. The prices of deluxe sandwiches and other groups of foods was similar to the price of their main course £7.50 - £8.95. One of the salads was £9.25Either our currency is increasingly worthless, or there are big overheads to pay.Due to the hustle and bustle of the staff operation, it also doesn't feel like a relaxing experience to eat. You eat then quickly go.Thank you for your feedback and comments. All customer feedback is welcomed and regularly reviewed and discussed by the teams to see if there are any opportunities to improve our Customer dining experience. Thank you for taking the time to post your review and we do hope to welcome you back again soon. Kindest regards.

Nice decor and has all the trappings of a traditional coffee shop with soup, snacks, tea, coffee and sandwiches.Service is somewhere between slow and bang average with staff more interested in chatting with one another than attending to customers or cleaning tables.Doesnât compare with its predecessor (Peckhams).Sorry to read your review and very poor opinion on us, we have achieved many many awards for quality and service often from mystery shoppers, but am sorry on this occasion we didnât live upto our usual standard. Have to agree Peckhams was an wonderful establishment and we very much admired them, but they did have tables so canât accept your comparison Iâm afraid. None of our team would ever chat with each other and put service secondary, but will certainly pass on your comments at next team meeting.
