Nice decor and has all the trappings of a traditional coffee shop with soup, snacks, tea, coffee and sandwiches.Service is somewhere between slow and bang average with staff more interested in chatting with one another than attending to customers or cleaning tables.Doesn’t compare with its predecessor (Peckhams).Sorry to read your review and very poor opinion on us, we have achieved many many awards for quality and service often from mystery shoppers, but am sorry on this occasion we didn’t live upto our usual standard. Have to agree Peckhams was an wonderful establishment and we very much admired them, but they did have tables so can’t accept your comparison I’m afraid. None of our team would ever chat with each other and put service secondary, but will certainly pass on your comments at next team meeting.

I popped into the Butterchurn restaurant inside Caulders.Quick Service as soon as you walk in. It appears to be run very efficiently.A Bright Spacious, clean well lit restaurant.Menu is varied and imaginative. What lets it down poorly its the price of items on the menu. At the time, £1.90 for a soft drink, £2.10 for a fruit juice with some lemonade. The prices of deluxe sandwiches and other groups of foods was similar to the price of their main course £7.50 - £8.95. One of the salads was £9.25Either our currency is increasingly worthless, or there are big overheads to pay.Due to the hustle and bustle of the staff operation, it also doesn't feel like a relaxing experience to eat. You eat then quickly go.Thank you for your feedback and comments. All customer feedback is welcomed and regularly reviewed and discussed by the teams to see if there are any opportunities to improve our Customer dining experience. Thank you for taking the time to post your review and we do hope to welcome you back again soon. Kindest regards.
Simple and delicious freshly prepared food and coffee to sit in or takeaway. We are open for breakfast, lunch and everything in between. We take our coffee seriously, so much so we only use beans that fall into the ‘Speciality Coffee’ category. The term ‘
Was traveling up to Aberdeen, and usually once past Glasgow I stop at the Old Inn's Cafe, but after recently reading about The Buffet Box being one of the best coffee shops in Scotland, I thought I would give it a chance next time.Something of a truck stop greasy spoon safe tucked away in a industrial complex, its not really all that inviting, yet as soon as you walk through the door that cages.Staff are brilliant and really welcoming, and it has a pretty extensive menu.Ordered a full Scottish and a MUG of ground coffee, both of which were freshly prepared in no time, and were truly excellent! Also super cheap!!!! Have paid same price just for a take away coffee and breakfast roll at the Old Inn's Cafe.Certainly my new go to spot when traveling north.

We live locally and visited recently. Fairly limited selection of cakes/biscuits. Reasonable prices and a decent cup of coffee. Doggy friendly area outside the lower level & dog-free upstairs & on the terrace. Worth a visit if you need a cuppa when visiting the lovely park & gardens.

Went into this cafe to see if I could get something quick on the road. I'm gluten intolerant and was pleasantly surprised that this cafe has gluten free bread and rolls. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. Cakes also looked amazing! There should be more places as good as this, hope it keeps doing well

Tea house on the loch is a log cabin built on the banks of Johnston loch in gartcosh. We offer a selection of homemade cakes as well as breakfast from 10am-12 and afternoon tea all day at a fantastic price of £9.95 for two. As well as paninis and baked po
Wonderful location, sense of adventure and something different. Was quite busy, great buzz, and started well. We sat, ordered, attentive. Served our meals and drinks. Salad on three of our plates was two uncut leaves of lettuce a cherry tomatoe halfed. We never got any service after this AT ALL. No one asked if food okay, nothing. The young lad polished cutlery. The older lady with dark hair ignored me from my seat twice, INCLUDING eye contact, RUDE! We wanted tea and cakes. Both mum and I went to the counter neither the lad or lady asked to help. Mum got upset as she is old school and painfully polite and shy. I sat at table between 2.40 and 3.25 my three guests left and went to car. Nothing. Not even cleared table. So, no cake or drink sales for you eh! You probably benefit from location but let down by ambivalent team.Hi anspur Iam so sorry you were left unsatisfied by our side salad, homemade coleslaw and turnells crisps which accompany our sandwiches etc, We would have been more than happy to give you more if you had asked. We are a wee tea house with a small community of friends and family that work here, I would like to explain although trip advisor isn’t the place for this and if you could call me to explain, you may be a little more understanding as I know my mangers intentions were never to be rude or make you feel ignored.I am sure that you would understand and hopefully you would pop in another time in the future. I am available to discuss this any time. Regards Susan Dalziel on 07856719478

At Cafe Alba we offer a varied menu of quality fresh food that is excellent value for money, served by our friendly welcoming team. To ensure the high standards of dishes of which we are proud, we use as many Scottish products as possible; especially fish
I have gone here lots of times since it opened. I always found it more expensive than other eateries in the area but worth it because of the quality and portions. Don't find this the case anymore. Portions are less and quality not as good, particularly the baked potato plates. Service is still good, food delivered in good time but have been served after others who came in later. Have decided to eat elsewhere when at centre but would go back if things improved.
