restaurant above Dornoch Inn public house. Great food - lots of choices.
We had a quick lunch here on Saturday, we were served promptly, and efficiently by a friendly girl. the portions were generous, if not bordering on too much, but not for my other half who enjoyed the food so much he polished off half of mine! food was well presented, very very good chips!!!Decor was quirky and liked all the exposed beams. (faux beams? not sure - either way lovely). We asked the girl who served us for some local bits to do and she was really helpful and pleasant. would definitely go back. Thanks!

I was shocked when a small breakfast (with items removed as Iâm GF) and a half portion of mince & tatties, a shop bought desert and one scoop of ice cream came to £27!! There is a very limited choice for me here....I usually go for baked potatoes but they are zapped from frozen and not great! Iâm always shocked at how much it costs....This is a cafe charging restaurant prices....for £27 you can get far better - a few miles up or down the road! I always feel like Iâve been mugged....itâs a shame as itâs in a great spot!Thatâs a lovely story thanks for your review, Iâm sure anyone that has been mugged properly will appreciate your comparison. Also if you have been in before and were not happy why did you return ? ?? Why didnât you go to the âfar betterâ places up or down the road â. Your review doesnât really add up does it ?

We stayed at the Royal Golf Hotel for a week, just returned home. Their restaurant isnt listed on Trip Advisor. I can assure you it is full service, and is really good food. Please consider adding it, as they would appreciate getting the word out. Thank y
A lovely, sunny evening in the Conservatory - overlooking the 1st and 18th holes of the Royal Dornoch Golf Course and the Dornoch Firth is only improved by the good service and food in the this restaurant - excellent local meats, seafood, produce are all well-prepared and presented - a good wine list adds to the pleasure - all making an excellent way to relax after 18 (or 36) holes on the world-class course.

Nice place and comfortable surroundings. Menu a little uninspiring and vegetarian options a bit boring but ordered the enchiladas and they were lovely. My friend had chips with her meal and they looked really nice. Reasonable prices. But service was slow and we were a little neglected. Would go back.

Given that this was a pub and we ate in the bar (having pre booked a table in the restaurant) overall, we enjoyed the experience. The table we were given was awful, situated right outside the toilets!, so not the best start. Our waitress was very nice and looked after us very well, the menu was pretty good and we all enjoyed different meals at a reasonable price. the bar itself was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, not bad.

Quick visit to Dornoch and could not resist having an impromptu scotch tasting. Everyone in our group of four ordered a different single malt and we retired to the garden to sample and share. Bar staff were very helpful with recommendations and really friendly. The bar is nice the garden is terrific - if the weather cooperates.

I had read great reviews about this restaurant but was quite disappointed by the menu.I chose the hot smoked salmon salad which was OK,my partner chose venison casserole which he said was enjoyable.£42 for a bottle of white wine was excessive. I was told they were short staffed which must be very difficult to try to run a restaurant.

Located on the first floor in the former Sheriff Courtroom The Courthouse Cafe serves delicious breakfast, lunches, home baking and speciality teas and coffees seven days a week.
Loved it! So beautiful and a lovely theme and restoration! Fab food and even better cakes! Such a beautiful venue and friendly service. Not the best for knowing about allergies in the cakes however there are options for most people.
