Reviews on Bar food in Isle of Arran, Scotland, United Kingdom. Packed to the gills with antique silver, porcelain and furniture, the red sandstone Brodick Castle is one of the highlights of the Isle of Arran. The castle overlooks Goatfell, a majestic hill that’s a popular day hike. The Machrie Moor stone circles make for a mystical field trip, as does a tour of The Arran Malt whisky distillery.

Ate here twice while staying in Blackwaterfoot. Not always easy to get a reservation mostly because residents naturally come first, booking early is necessary during the busy season. Well cooked, nicely presented food, not an elaborate menu but perfectly acceptable. Service good, prices reasonable, lovely surroundings, would happily eat here again when we return to Arran

With its rustic-chic style, The Douglas Bistro has a refreshing simplicity but a serious intent. The cuisine is honest and straightforward in style, bold and hearty in flavour. No fussy preparation or pretentious artistry, just thoughtful and skillful use

We had 2 dogs with us and had arranged to meet with friends for lunch as they advertise that they are dog friendly. On reaching the door, there is a sign saying no dogs except assistance dogs. I enquired about this and was told that the only dog area was the outside area? While the weather was nice, who would want to eat lunch outside on the beach front in October? Think they need to make this clear on their website. Pity really as the restaurant and menu looked lovelyThank you for your truly honest review of the experience that you didnât have at our restaurant. Iâm glad you liked the look of our menu â we also think its pretty great. We are really sorry that you thought we allowed dogs in our restaurant however nowhere across our social media or online platforms does it mention this. It feels slightly unfair that you felt the need to leave a one star review for a restaurant when we do not advertise ourselves as a kennel.

Previously known and established as Fiddlers' by Arran local Dónal Boyle, Croftersâ has developed into a vibrant and friendly bistro which showcases the talent of local musicians and provides a platform for world class visiting artists from all over Scotl
My husband and I recently visited Arran and found ourselves in Crofters 2 out of the 3 days we were there - we went for lunch the first time and it was so delicious that we went back the next day (I particularly recommend the cullen skink - exactly what I needed after a brisk walk to Brodick Castle!). The atmosphere is really lovely and the staff were super friendly. All the food we tried was delicious and I would certainly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

We visited Coast twice and were delighted to find an establishment which served a cappuccino rather than coffee pretending to be cappuccino! It's in a great position right on the beach with fabulous views. We spent ages watching the gannets diving for fish. It was very quiet on our first visit and the barman was friendly, chatty and welcoming.

Our delicious menu uses fresh, local ingredients. Head Chef Jamie Mercer & his team prepare all dishes in house. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, in an idyllic setting. A warm family welcome awaits.

We are open daily from 12pm serving teas, coffees, light snacks, lunch and dinner. Alcohol available from midday - 12:30 on Sundays. All our food is made on the premises and there is an emphasis on simple cooking that is sympathetic to the ingredients. Al
We were stopping overnight at Whiting Bay in our campervan, so called in here for lunch. We always support local services if we wild camp anywhere. The service was friendly and efficient, with a smile. There was a good choice on the menu (especially for a Sunday) and the prices were about right. Thereâs even wi-if if you need it. We would definitely call again the next time we are passing through and would recommend it to anyone, include campers and Motorhomers.
