A disappointment
Reviewed By JedC47The good news - large room and large balcony. Restairaunt was good, cheerfully serving stout German faire in a friendy way. However, no welcome at the hotel - just given the key and told where to lug our two big suitcases (2 floors up, and I do speak German). The bad news? Furniture, decor, bed and bedding had seen much better days - oh and bring your own soap and towels! Our recommendation? Saty somewhere else and eat there.

Reviewed By Lynnemurray1We visited the Black Forest over the weekend. This Bed and Breakfast is amazing. The prices are very reasonable, the rooms are comfy and the hosts are very friendly! Breakfast in the morning is a traditional, delicious German breakfast. I would highly recommend this place and if we ever come back, this is where we will stay!

Great Base in the Black Forest
Reviewed By David LWe used this village as our base to explore the Black Forest, eastern France, and northern Switzerland. The property was very nice with wonderful rooms and a nice breakfast areas looking out over the village. The village is a little off the beaten path (nicely up in the hills) but that made it even more enjoyable,

Reviewed By UN2NETWe stayed over for 2 nights. Great Italian food. Good prices too. A big variety of drink, I enjoyed the beer. And sincere service. Such a lovely clean and large room. It looks like it's recently been done over. Hot and strong shower. The breakfast was a big variety and on time. We truely enjoyed the place to stay and to eat. Walking distance to Triberg waterfalls and most Kookoo clocks. Blackforest cake too

Nice black-forest Guest-Hause between the villages Schonach and Triberg.We've 3 double rooms, all with shower/WC, Flatscreen-TV, hairdryer, balcony and safe. WI-FI for free, breakfast included.
Cozy, Friendly and Warm
Reviewed By Lantirn01If you are looking for a true B&B experience in the Black Forest, this is the place. Beautiful home and rooms -- just 3 minutes from Triberg, but right on the edge of the forest. The breakfast is worth photographing as a work of culinary art. However, the best part of the experience is visiting with the inn keeper, who brought his young and extremely charming grand-daughter in to help with breakfast. The room was lovely (#3) and we'll never stay anywhere else in the Triberg area. I'd give it 6 stars if the Tripadvisor allowed; and the price is 50% lower than it should be! Hint: it's easy to drive past the driveway up to the Gastehaus, especially at night, as the sign to the Gasthaus is not lighted. Watch carefully on the right side of the road just 0.3 miles after making the turn to Schonach.

Frühjahrsurlaub mal wieder erstklassig
Reviewed By katze1909wir sind zum 2. Mal in dieser familienfreundlichen Pension. super Empfang und wir haben wieder geschlafen wie die Murmeltiere. Frühstück war wieder mehr als ausreichend. Auf Fernsehen und Internet konnten wir bequem verzichten, nette Gesprächsabende mit den Pensionsinhabern sind viel interessanter und man erfährt viel über Land und Leute und kann sich Ziele für den nächsten Tag setzen.
