Guess the island has not learned about service yet. After reading in a magazine that this is Sansibars sister we decided to give it a try although the menu doesn't look to spectacular. Even got a booking on a Friday night outside. Upon arrival the service greeted us in a very rude way. When we said we'd like to have a look they said we have to ask for permission. When we said we have a booking outside they said they would give us a nice table inside. So we decided to go and leave our money at Sansibar which has better service and food for the same price. While leaving the manager gave us a rude comment.

This is the golf club restaurant but part of the 5 star Budersand Hotel complex and performing to a 5 star standard. It offers a limited menu but has specials (outstanding entrecote steak perfectly cooked) and special day menus. I can only say that if all golf club dining rooms got even half way to this standard of food and service then we would all be better off. Charming staff, many of them new as this was the start of their summer season and a delight to experience. We ate their twice in the week and were not disappointed. A TIP.....in the summer book in advance. It is rightly popular and busy as it is not confined to people just playing golf and Hornum is a big holiday home centre so people come there to eat in the evening from 6:00pm onwardsDear Strönholt Guest,Thank you very much for your valuable comments about our Restaurant on top of the dune, our Strönholt. The restaurant should suit not only golfers but also locals, hotel guests and anyone who appreciates a fantastic location with a phenomenal view over the golf course, the sea and our two neighboring islands and great food. As You can expect from a Michelin-restaurant with very good food, good service and extensive wine-list. We choosed 4-course menu with alternatives.
