Visited this place a sunny May day. Had two dishes from the cold kitchen, ok but nothing more, as well as beer and a big and expensive bottle of water. We had a nice time in the sun and left plenty of tips. However, when we left the cafe we were asked to leave our bottle of water, the refund belonged to the restaurant!! What about the water, we had paid dearly for? Disgusting service, dont go there!

Situated at the yacht club, just at the lake shore this restaurant offers good food. The owner should smile a little bit more often to reduce the little bit stiffness of the atmosphere. Otherwise quite enjoyable

Before reviewing this place i must give you some advice and information. *Bring cash! This place does not take cards and there is no place close by to go get cash quick and easy. *Be aware of that its a 1800 m walk ONE way from the closest parking spot to this restaurant. We didnt read anything about this in reviews before going here so after 300 m walking we almost cried when we saw the sign "Restaurant Prinzelinsel 1500 m".......... Especially my girlfriend in very high heels. So to the actual restaurant and dining experience. The restaurant and its surroundings are very cute and pictureesque. They restaurant building itself is over 100 years old and feels very "German" in a good way. Lots of flowers and plants around the restaurant is also a nice touch when sitting and enjoying a cold beer outside. We ordered the veal Wiener Schnitzel with panfried potatoes w bacon and cucumber salad. I asked if the waiter (owner?) could fix some herb butter for the schnitzel wich he did. Very nice service level. The schnitzels where great as the rest of the food. Very rustic, german and GREAT tasting! The service was kind and attentive even though the waiter didnt speak any english. If you want great german food in gorgeous setting in Plön and dont mind the walk, this is the place you want to eat!

Friends introduced me to this small restaurant underneath Plön Castle. What a delight. A cosy location with excellent food and service complemented by live music (singer with guitar accompaniment) on the night we attended (Saturday). The place was packed out on our night. A great venue, a local gem!

We had just returned from a boat trip on the see, it was an extremely hot day, so refreshments was the order of the day. Just along from the boat docking pier is the "Seeprinz" restaurant. I have been visiting Germany for about 50 years and I just love to sit on a veranda/patio over the see, and dine. We ate and drank some excellent food and beer, the service was excellent, as is the case in most restaurants in Germany. The atmosphere was great. We will try and visit this restaurant again.

Really cozy restaurant, well decorated (rare in Germany) with a good service. The meals were simple but delicate and made with good products. The menu seem to change and adapt according to the season or the available products and doest not contain too many items (quality over quantity). We also tested a mojito cocktail and it was delicious. We will definitly go back.

Really good ambiance with a modern decoration and a very nice service.I took some antipasti first, I couldn't eat one because it was a mixture of cream cheese with orange, but the rest was very good. Then I ordered an ox goulash (very good) with a gratin of sweet potatoes that I couldn't eat because there was orange in it (why?). For the dessert, I ordered a crème brûlée (and specifically asked if there was any orange in it) and nonetheless there was the orange taste again. Why not keep this simple and not put orange everywhere?
