Familly run Restaurant. Specialties: Mussels, Pasta's and Grill !
Friendly passionate people, presentation and effort 9.5/10 ! Good place for an intimate rendez-vous. Some of the food maybe a bit pricy, but it's always well cooked!

Basically, this is a local joint with a nice outdoor patio. My husband and I made a reservation for a table outside on a Sat. night and when we got there, we were told that we had a table inside. Inside is not where we wanted to be seated. The waiter did not care and told us, lying, that Reservations for outside are never "certain'. No apologies from him for the inconvenience whatsoever! To my american and non-local Belgian friends: do not come to this place and go to Knokke instead where you will find friendlier staff and cooler outdoor bars/restaurants than this place!

Visited for a quick business dinner and stayed late into the evening. Service was excellent as was the food. I had a mixed seafood starter prawns shrimp, crab and lobster soup followed by an excellent steak which was cooked to perfection.
G and T to start and a couple of glasses of Barrolo went down a treat.
Excellent value.

I was brought here for dinner by a good friend and it was very nice. Classic atmosphere, elegant service, waiters in uniforms with black ties and white shirts. Nice menu, everything was delicious, one of the best meals I have had in my 3 years here. Not cheap, but not horribly expensive for Antwerp. Tables were very close together though, and the table next to us was uncomfortably close--we had to whisper to feel like they weren't eaves dropping.

The restaurant has a small parking space,a bit hidden, but very convenient since the road it is located on can be very busy. NIcely decorated restaurant, friendly welcoming, nice selection on the menu... and it all ends with very well prepared food (and sufficient). Don't come here if you are looking for 'real special stuff', Just come here to enjoy a very nice meal. Any negative comments: none to be honest
They also have some kid menus, kid chair...

If you have a craving for chicken, then this is the place to go to. They have chicken soup, various chicken appetizers and main courses, and thankfully no chicken based dessert ;-) It is cooked to perfection and portions are generous. The roasted chicken with pepper corn sauce is my recommendation - the sauce is well seasoned. Excellent for affordable casual dining.

Our second endeavor in locating a Chinese restaurant in our new home town of Schilde brought us to "100 Jaar Wah".
I must say we've been there before quite some years ago. At that time I ordered a special dish, not on the menu, but every Chinese cook, worth that name, must be able to make it: it was a simple dish of tofu and minced meat and tomato sauce. I was quite surprised with the price they asked for it (25 eur).
So yesterday evening we went back (I almost never hold grudges) and ordered their interesting looking Beijing Rice table at about 32 eur a person. Before being able to give the order, a small but tasty amuse-gueule already arrived in front of us: a nice breaded scampi on a small vegetable layer. Unfortunately the rest of the meal didn't keep up that standard. The corn crab soup was average, the dim sum were OK, as you find them everywhere, the main dishes ...
- Crispy chicken: the main ingredient was good, the sauce however (much) too sweet
- Scampi on eastern fashion: good, two per person
- Duck Hong Kong style: just a duck, no accompaniment, no sauce, could/should have been more crispy, the skin must be the most important part of the dish, it wasn't
- Beijing beef teppan: OK, average
- Chinese veggies: good fresh soy beans (my favourite)
As dessert we were promised fresh fruit or coffee; my spouse took the fresh fruit only to receive freshly opened (at least I hope) lychees in a bowl.
So, I will give them one more try another day, but will dine à la carte. Let's hope that will be better.
Having said this, I also have to say that during the evening, mind you, on a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy and I counted at least 7 take-aways.

Gastronomy with a smile, the essentiels, no fuss.
What a disappointing evening. The staff acting very emotionless without any passion. Previously we visited this place in December and unfortunately had the same impression. The paired wines being way too young and overpriced. Michelin please review. This establishment doesn’t deserve a star. I’m always very enchanted as you can tell from my reviews but it was a real disgrace. Not only once but twice.

If you live in or near Schilde, you can always come to Brasserie MaNo. In the middle of green surroundings you can enjoy their fine brasserie food: a rather small card with classics, a page of suggestions and a big smile, every time.
We came here the first time during winter 2013-2014. We just bought a house nearby, were working in it and suddenly my stomach started to complain. As we passed by this brasserie already some times, we decided to try it out.
That was a very good idea: a nice, green lasagna (a suggestion) for my spouse and a vol-au-vent for me. It was noon-ish and the room was about 75% filled. The portions were good, the taste was good and the mayo seemed to be freshly made, but I can be wrong there.
Since then we have visited them more than half a dozen times. Some of our favorites? "Stoofvlees" (a beef stew), tomato and fresh grey shrimps (copious and delicious), the warm salads. The prices are very reasonable, indeed, and the wine selection is adequate, never let me down. However, with stoofvlees ... you drink a nice lager. Cheers!

This is a 'classic' restaurant in Schilde in an old building that seems like it was here forever. We arrived quiet early (7.15 PM) on this winter evening, but the restaurant was fully booked and service took forever.. Only 2,5 hours later: finally our main dishes! Too bad our guests had eaten lots of bread to really enjoy the fine dining. Food was to our taste as always, but next time we beter arrive even more early!
