Mariateresa is a wonderful server who goes out of her way to make a wonderful dining experience. The bartender is very attentive and he makes great drinks to enjoy the outstanding view on the beautiful Amalfi coast!

This hotel has quirky decor. We stayed in a small double seaview room, and found it to be more spacious than expected. The room comes complete with a mini fridge containing a small bottle of milk and complimentary water. (Also a chargeable range of snacks and drinks.) It wise to note that the bathrooms are without ventilation, but the shower was great. The restaurant is excellent We enjoyed the continental breakfast selection that had something to suit everyone We also dined here, and enjoyed our meal.. The Retreat was a great place to chill, and we enjoy the complimentary tea and cake. (Please note are dog lovers not owners.) But we love this hotel.

The interior of the Crown still contains many of the original architectural features which is why it is often featured in many film and television productions. Along with an excellent restaurant the hotel includes the Crown Spa catering for spa treatments and health club facilities including 40ft pool, large Jacuzzi, 5 heat experience rooms and well appointed gym and studio.
Stayed at this hotel for one night. When I checked in I payed upfront for my stay. I booked through booking.com and payed £233 for superior room but was given a king size comfort room, basically I found out this was a down grade for what I actually paid for and the room was in a very poor state. The walls had visible filled in holes, peeling paint on the ceiling, rusted shower curtain pole, broken chair, staines and rips on the carpet and the list goes on. I complained at reception and I was told they are going to upgrade me. The member staff at reception did not want to see the photos I took of the room as he probably had complaints about this room before. To my surprise I got an up grade to the room I originally payed for. However this room was nice but extremely hot with no air conditioning and just a ceiling fan which was not very effective. Myself and my girlfriend went out for the evening and when we returned around 11pm the room was still very hot and unpleasant to sleep in. In the morning we payed £15.99 each for breakfast. Full English and continental breakfast. We took a seat and the staff were pleasant and we ordered the full English. When the full English came we noticed items missing, the food was over cooked and was not very appealing. I had to wait in a que to make some toast as only one toaster was working, the fresh orange juice was watered down and was tasteless. Overall to say that I payed almost £32 for breakfast for the two of us it was definitely not worth a fraction of this. After we checked out and settled my bill I felt that I needed to seek some kind explanation by the manager why this was such a bad experience considering I spent £233 on the room £32 for breakfast and £14 for parking and I felt that I have been well overcharged for my experience. The next day (Saturday 28th May I emailed the hotel with photos of the first room I was given and my general experience in the 2nd room and breakfast. By Thursday 2nd June I had no reply so I resent my email. The following day I decided phone the hotel and was told that the email has been forwarded onto the manager and was told he will not be back until Monday. I phoned on Monday Midday and was told he was going to be in a meeting most of the day and he will get back to me later on Monday. With still no response by Tuesday midday i called the hotel to try to talk to the manager and once again I was told he was busy and in meetings. I feel that I have been brushed under the carpet as they have my money now. I will have to put this stay at the crown spa hotel as a unlucky experience and definitely won’t stay here again. It upsets me to feel that I have been treated like this as this was a night away for my girlfriends birthday and I feel I need to keep saying sorry to her as this stay was definitely not what I was expecting.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our mini-moon. We both love Scarborough and the East Coast. The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were lovely and work hard to make everything perfect. From check in to bar staff to the waiting staff everyone was lovely. The rooms are well appointed and well maintained. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent and we had no complaints about choice to quality. We’d definitely return and stay again.

Standard Premier Inn. Clean and comfortable bed. The room was extremely warm, and couldn’t really open the window due to overlooking the bins and the seagulls where loud looking for food around the bin area.
