Great location, easy drive from Dresden or Pirna. We had a big family lunch to celebrate a birthday with excellent traditional food, good service, and stunning view. We took an hour hike afterward on marked, well maintained trails to several overlooks. You can stop in near by Hellendorf on your way back (if you are a fan of Kurt Vonnegut, this was the location, near the end of Slaughterhouse-Five, where Vonnegut and other allied prisoners walked away from their guards)

We have tried small beautiful cafe in Teplice during our trip there. Perfect service, nice terrace for warm days (exceptional warm October Sunday). Great cakes and coffee. Recommended.

This restaurant is fine, but its not perfect. The food was ok but not so great to come back next day again. I missed spices. The staff is very friendly and they have also very good coffee. The fresh drinks are good. Its fine you can have free water with mint. Cheese cake was good.

Vor drei Monaten waren wir während unseres Herbsturlaubs im Schloss Lauenstein. Aber im schloss-eigenen Cafe, einer kleinen Stube haben wir gegessen. Auf den ersten Blick ist die Stube wirklich putzig. Gewölbe,Verzierungen, kleine Tische, alles eng, aber nett. Die Speisekarte war leider auch etwas dünn, so dass wir uns nur für eine Suppe entschieden. Da bemerkten wir in einer Ecke einen Greifvogel IM Cafe!!! Es war zwar ein kleiner Greifvogel, vielleicht ein Zwergfalke, aber er war echt und lebendig - IM Restaurant an einen Vogelhocker angebunden. Wir waren einfach sprachlos, wie es in Deutschland möglich sein kann, dass ein Greifvogel in einem Restaurant präsentiert wird, um auf die Greifvogelschau aufmerksam zu machen. Es gab keinen Käfig, nichts, er saà da vollkommen frei. Da macht man sich schon mal Gedanken...wenn er seine Notdurft wegspritzt...wo wird sie landen?! Im Essen? In der Kleidung? In den Haaren der Gäste??? Davon abgesehen, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass das eine artgerechte Haltung ist?!

We walked around the Hochmoor just down the road and with the entry fee there one gets a discount voucher for the Lugsteinbaude - we would have gone up anyway though as we felt a nice cup of coffee and a snack would be nice.It's one of those places that invites itself to have a cafe or B&B on that spot - the views over the Ore Mountains on a clear day are great and the food tasted very good combined with a great friendly service I can't fault this place. It's perhaps a bit of the beaten track - but if you are already at the Hochmoor (highly recommended) pop in!

,,,, on a rather opulent meal, wse had steak and the "Pfifferlinge" and ended it with a dessert (too sweet for me) and a local schnaps.its not gourmet but a solid german kitchen
