Visited here on recommendation from a work colleague who lives in the area. The staff were very passionate about their range of steaks - and the fininshed product was excellent !!! I had a rib-eye steak that was tender and full of flavour. The restaurant loses 1 point for me as the atmosphere was pretty dull, it was a bit cold and the prices were really top-end. Good wine list though adds a point !! I would go back - but only if I was on a corporate account.

This is a restaurant cum beer garden type of a place. The latter serves Bratwurst and Buletten, and has a few stations where you can order drinks. The Mueckenwirt is beautifully located on the banks of the Elbe, overlooks the island in the middle of the river, has a small passenger ferry operating nearby, and the long-distance cycle path running almost through the beer garden. Picturesque!

Ein Stück Türkei mitten in Magdeburg, man kommt an einem lauen Sommertag auf den Parkplatz und ein herrlicher Geruch von frisch gegrillten Fleisch lässt einem nicht mehr los. Super nettes Personal und das Essen einfach der Hammer
