Have been at "Zufriedenheit" (literally: Satisfaction) a couple of times now and really never left unsatisfied. Quite to the contrary. The kitchen presents innovative ideas executed with high quality while remaining grounded in the basics: top local and seasonal ingredients and responsible craftsmanship. I love it. With 13 points Gault Millau seemed to have liked it, too. Wines are predominantly local and match the food. Service is super friendly and avoids all stuffiness. Decorations are subtle and refined. Weather permitting the garden is a very inviting place to spend a summer evening.

Was there with friends and family on a Sunday just after the noon-day crowd. Everything was great. The goose was excellent, the Klösse and accompaniments tasty, the atmosphere warm, the service professional. Hope to be able to go back one day and find it much unchanged.

a wonderful, historic location (it is a medieval castle) surmounting a hill over a river, best view ever. The food and drinks are excellent and a superb atmosphere. Very good service and the personal is very attentive, friendly and uttermost professional. The new manager (Baron Thiemo v. Creytz) came to say hello and showed us all the beautiful historical banqueting rooms. A great weekend there.

Split the hike into two halves per day. Pleasent lunchtime stop. I had 0.2 glass of very good house cuvee wine. Basket of bread and a massive stack of cheese plus coffee.All very nice & I did note enjoyable meals coming out from the kitchen but on a 10 mile hike you don't need it. These people were driving.Along the road on the estate information and examples of the grape vines in German. All well laid out.

Das Hotel liegt in den Weinbergen oberhalb von Bad Kösen. Guter Blick ins Saaletal, auf das Wehr, das Gradierwerk....Kostenloser Parkplatz. Sitzplätze im Freien. Gutes Essen, freundlicher Service, preiswert.

On the clockwise circular walk from Bad Kos this place stands on the hill side on the side of the path. Busy place but with good views out across the valley and towers. Good ice cream and coffee. Receives visitors by car. The location is a bit more left than the current TripAdvisor map. The road runs out, but if hiking circular weg you reach the point from below.

Das Restaurant liegt dicht an der Saale und hat über die Strasse hinweg noch einen Gastbereich zwischen Strasse und Saale mit einem netten Ãberlick auf das Wehr. Wir haben zu Zweit im Lokal gegessen. Die Bedienung war feundlich und schnell. Wir haben zweimal das Rumpsteak mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat bestellt (fuer jeweils ca. 20â¬). Bekommen haben ich das Tellergericht auf dem Foto. Fuer den Preis waren der Umfang des Gerichtes und die Qualitaet des Steaks recht entäuschend. Der Salat war ohne Sosse und eher eine Mischsalat-Garnitur. Ich kenne nicht den Restaurant-Standart in Bad Kösen, kann aber dieses Gericht nicht weiterempfehlen. Auf ein Bier komme ich gerne wieder - zum Essen nicht.

Alljährlich fahren ich zu dem Jahrestreffen meiner Studentenverbindung nach Bad Kösen und häufig ist auch ein Besuch im Fischhaus Bestandteil dieser Routine. So auch dieses Jahr am Mittwoch vor Pfingsten. Wir (4 Personen) hatten Glück und bekamen einen Tisch im AuÃenbereich am Wasser. Die Karte ist gefühlt seit Ewigkeiten unverändert und strahlt leider Mutlosigkeit aus. Es sind gute Hauptbestandteile (wie z.B. meine Sülze), aber die Beilagen sind eher belanglos und ewig gleich. Der Koch sollte mehr Mut entwickeln und insbesondere eine Tageskarte anbieten, die mehr Lust auf Abwechslung macht. So ist es leider mehr eine Ausflugsgaststätte als ein Restaurant für einen schönen Abend. Der Service ist übrigens sehr freundlich und aufmerksam!
