Although well-presented, the meals seemed to lack the balance of flavour that one might expect from a Michelin-rated restaurant. At times the flavours seemed so subtle they could be mistaken for bland. The langoustine entree was very fresh and perfectly cooked...almost carpaccio, but there could have been more of it.
Considering the prices charged I do not feel we had the experience promised, although I would not rule out a further visit in the future.

We went for dinner at 7 pm without Reservations and were seated without any fuss. The charcuterie boards were amazing with a green salad and bread, house Bergerac red wine, fig tart (which was also great) and coffee for E49.50. The service was friendly and efficient and the place was almost full when we left. I would definitely recommend it.

What a wonderful little gem of a place all the food served is produced on the farm. The waitresses spoke English very well and helped us organise our trip. The outside area also allows plenty of room for a push chair and is easy to access with a wheelchair. I highly recommend!!

We went to this restaurant with high expectations after Reading the reviews. The space is lovely, in Vitrac overlooking the Dordogne river. However the food was somewhat disappointing, and relatively expensive (58 euro for a three-course menu). None of the dishes stood out, and the desserts were all too sweet. For the price I would have expected something more memorable.

Wow! What a meal! This place is amazing. We called ahead for a table outside. So worth it. They even have blankets draped over the chairs in case you get cold! Amazing service, friendly Waitstaff, wonderful dining experience. We each opted for the Prix Fix menu, which included starter, entre and dessert. We all started with the Foie Gras de Canard. Seriously. I am not the biggest Foie Gras fan and I love it in Sarlat! For mains we all got to the Marget Canard (duck), which is served kinda Asian style, in a spring roll. Oh. Muh. Gawd. Too Too Too deelish! With stir fried veggies and baby potatoes. We tied different desserts... the Noix Cake with pistachio ice cream, the panna cotta and the profiterole with coffee ice cream. Perfect ending to the meal. And we had the perfect Bergerac Rouge to complement the meal...two bottles of . What an amazing dining experience! Highly recommended!

Visited this restaurant last week with a group of people. The service was very good and the presentation of the meat/fish dishes looked fantastic. However as a Vegetarian I had a bowl of salad with edible flowers as a starter followed by a nicely presented plate of vegetables as a main course. I was disappointed that the chef had not shown any initiative and not made any effort with this Vegatarian dish. Thank goodness for the apple dessert which was absolutely delicious.

Ferme Lacombe was an unexpected discovery while driving through the Dordogne. It is an unassuming, small and very homely restaurant but it serves the best canard confit and pommes de terres salardaises! It was a truly delicious meal and SO satisfying. We could hear Madame in the kitchen working away and she popped her head out every so often to converse with the (mainly French customers - always a good sign) and then the food arrived. The duck was moist and tasty and large enough to satisfy even my husband's large appetite and the potatoes cooked in the local style (in duck fat) were superb. It was a great meal (with a salad on the side) made from their own farm produce and cooked in the very best traditional manner. It was a memorable meal for all the right reasons and definitely worth a roadside stop (it's a simple brick building about 11 km outside Sarlat on the way to Les Eyzies).

This is a wonderful little restaurant in Sarlat (down avenue Gambetta near towards the Plaza Madeleine and Hotel les Remparts end) with a menu dedicated to pasta.
You choose the size of the portion (served in takeaway boxes) and the sauce (lots of choices including for vegetarians - we tried the mediterranean and the sauce of the day). We chose to eat inside the restaurant - there are a few tables - but they were busy with takeaway orders as well. Everything is prepared fresh and to order. Friendly owner, honest prices -and a boon for vegetarians in (highly carnivorous, and foie gras obsessed!) Sarlat.

We needed a quick light lunch, so wine and tapas was just the trick. It seemed a bit pricey for what we got, but at least there was a good selection - sliced meats, toasts, foie gras, brochettes.

Set on a beautiful Terrace, the atmosphere and setting was great. We had 5 courses for about $17 each which were typically french, extremely tasty and great value for money....proper home cooked french food. Couldn't fault it.
