Saratoga Springs is one of those special getaway spots where everything is just, well, pretty close to perfect. The city's lovely tree-lined streets and grand old Victorians, porch swings swaying and gardens brimming with colorful flora bring to mind a gentler era. World-class horse racing, renowned performing arts and natural springs spas, plus 13 golf courses, 10 museums, a historic battlefield, fabulous boutiques, antiques and restaurants mean there is something for everyone. Relax at the Lincoln Mineral Baths, window shop in town and then it's off to the races. Walk everywhere, it's that kind of place. One of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States, Saratoga offers ample accommodation choices in elegant hotels, historic bed and breakfasts or comfortable inns. The only drawback is you may never want to leave.

We love visiting Saratoga, and just stayed at the Springwater for the first time. We were in the Springwater Suite and have found our new favorite place to stay in Saratoga. Lyn and the staff were so hospitable! Breakfast was delicious and there was a special every morning. The room was sunny and updated with a great soaking tub and private balcony. My husband and I stayed in Room 9 which was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I loved the colour scheme and the little living room area — it’s great to have somewhere to sit other than the bed to have a cup of tea or coffee. The kitchenette down the hall was handy and I appreciated that they had wine glasses, ice buckets, corkscrews, etc. for guests to avail of. The kitchen was being remodelled during our stay, so we had the option of a breakfast basket each morning or walking to another B&B the owners run down the road for a hot breakfast. We opted for the latter and were happy to have done so. The menu was simple (French toast, oatmeal, fried eggs, bacon, etc.) but well done. The innkeeper and other staff we met were all very welcoming and clearly take pride in maintaining their properties and ensuring their guests have a good experience.

The Farmstead is a quick drive from Saratoga Springs, yet we felt transported in time and place as soon as we arrived. Allison was a lovely host, pointing out her beautiful plantings and grounds which surround the B&B. Our Garden Room was very comfortable and attractive. Each breakfast was prepared and served by Florian, who made creative dishes using healthy and tasty ingredients. If the weather would’ve cooperated, we might have sat outside on the flowery patio. Overall, this was a perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of our lives. Many thanks to our consummate host and her staff.

A very quaint inn and I cannot say enough about the owner Joe. He was so nice and helpful getting us in our room early after a very long car ride. The room was very nice but not as clean as I would have liked. Overall a nice stay and would return there again.

Located in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs on historic Congress Park, this magnificent inn represents old world sophisticated elegance with a new world attitude. One of America's great Victorian houses, the Batcheller Mansion Inn simply cannot compare to other Saratoga Inns. Built in 1873, this American architectural masterpiece is an elegant mixture of small hotel and living history museum with the intimate feel of a bed and breakfast. Intricately carved European woodwork, hand carved marble fireplaces, family relics on loan from museums, original 1800's Batcheller family furnishings, and spellbinding grandeur make this one of a kind Saratoga inn and living history museum a stately retreat. Throughout the past 137 years, some of Saratoga's grandest parties were staged here, hosting U.S. Presidents, European Royalty, Dignitaries and Hollywood Celebrities. Designed by Nicols and Halcott of Albany, NY in 1873, this High Victorian Gothic mansion exhibits influences from the French Renaissance, Italian, and Egyptian styles. The red and gray slate mansard roof is bifurcated by dormers, each accented by a huge clamshell arch. The ivory stucco facade is studded by a myriad of ornate bays and its conical tower, resembling a minaret, is right out of Arabian nights. That bit of exotica was the result of original owner George S. Batcheller. This Saratoga inn was selected as Inn of the Month in the April 1999 issue of Country Inns. The mansion has also been the subject of many architectural studies, and has been featured in many books and film throughout its history. The Batcheller Mansion was specifically cited as an inspiration by Kevin Cummings, Development Manager for Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.
Batcheller mansion Inn was phenomenal! For those of us that appreciate the refined old grandeur, the colonial paintings, the craftsmanship of the carpentry, you won’t be disappointed! We stayed in the Grant room on the third floor with a pool table and large jacuzzi tub! It was great! I didn’t take any pics of the room with my phone but my husband did and he’ll make a review too! It’s right across the street from the congress park which was a great walk! We had a romantic Mother’s Day weekend away from the kids ?

Place was so gross we couldn’t stay. We tried to get a refund and they refused. DO NOT BOOK THIS DUMP. Filthy bathroom, filthy comforters, gross bathroom, dirty towels, no one working there, place doesn’t even have a sign. Worst place I’ve ever been.
