It was important to make an awesome first time impression of Solvang to a small group of friends. I hit the jackpot when I chose the Royal Copenhagen Inn. I worked with Ms Garcia, the manager, for the 15 room block. My guests were impressed with the hotel’s convenience to shopping and restaurants. The rooms provided a quaint and homelike experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. Ms Garcia and her staff provided the kind of service to each guest that left us with memories of Solvang that we well cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Solvang!

The room was clean and fairly comfortable. Our room was quite noisy. Internet and TV service was sporadic. No breakfast is offered. Check-in was not as easy as expected. The stay was not what we expected at this price point. It is easily accessible to most local attractions.

Hotel Ynez is nestled on two private acres with extensive gardens, a pool, bonfire pits, and a rustic outdoor pavilion for nights under the stars. Relaxed yet sophisticated, the property provides a respite from urban living. A place where modern travelers can lounge amongst the Oak trees, on private patios, or poolside, while nestled in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country.
A peaceful and tranquil hotel that was perfect for a wine tasting trip with friends. The rooms were very nice and the grounds were beautifully landscaped and very inviting. They took a 1950s motel and reimagined it as a luxurious hotel tucked away from everything. Breakfast was provided and they had a small store as well. Really liked the focus on a peaceful and tranquil experience - no loud guests or noisy kids - lots of friendly people staying there. And the staff was very responsive to requests.

We were upgraded to a king-sized room which was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The bed itself was big and there was a comfortable chair to sit in. There was a nice fireplace in the room which would add to the charm of the room in the winter. The bathroom was slightly small but perfectly adequate. The only thing which let the hotel down slightly was that the room we had fronted on to their outdoor seating area for the restaurant on the property. The night we were there, two ladies sat outside talking long into the night and the windows in our room were not double glazed and we could hear everything they said even though they weren't excessively loud. My suggestion is that you ask for a room at the back of the property. The have a very good restaurant on site too.

Pros: -The breakfasts are truly outstanding - fresh and delicious. -The room was clean and spacious and had nice linens. -The bathroom was well-equipped also. -The hosts are warm. -Santa Ynez is beautiful, and it's easy to walk from the Inn. In terms of how the Inn could be even better, a hot tub would be awesome.

What a wonderful stay at The Vick! It started with a wonderful greeting by the owner Rod, who shared such great information about the hotel and town. The room is just incredible, as so much thought has been put into all of the details. The sunken tub, fireplace and painted murals added so much to this great experience. I hope we can return one day and try another room. I recommend to anyone wanting a different kind of hotel stay, as it is so unique and special!!

Decent for a clean place to sleep for one night. PROS Nice office staff who called us when our room was ready. Check in is 2 pm. She called at 1:50 Fantastic location within walking distance to most everything Voucher for continental breakfast at Olsens Bakery across the street. Juice coffee danish and a bread roll per person Nice to have microwave and refrigerator with a small freezer Very clean and friendly housekeepers CONS Rooms towards the front have lots of street noise Parking lot lights on all night so with only blinds the room was light. Black out drapes would solve that Rooms have been renovated but they still need updating to accommodate all the electronics people carry with them now Bathroom is small and the fan and heat light are not wired correctly. Both had to be on to work King bed was comfortable but one side creaked so ever time that person moved you heard it.

Skyview Los Alamos is a modern boutique hotel born from an Iconic 1950’s motel overlooking Los Alamos wine country. Set just off California’s iconic Highway 101, it offers 33 rooms, including two spacious suites and 16 deluxe rooms with fireplaces and private decks overlooking the rolling hills wine country. The five-acre hilltop property has its own full-service restaurant- Norman, a working vineyard, edible gardens and restored 1950’s era pool. The hotel's original midcentury architecture was updated to a modern rustic aesthetic and softened with luxury trimmings: flat panel televisions, down duvets, leather club chairs and marble-clad bathrooms with organic small batch amenities.
My husband and I stayed here over Christmas 2021. We wanted a small town get-away for the holiday. The Deluxe King room we stayed in had a corner fireplace IN the room and a firepit on the PATIO! The way the room is laid out makes it feel bigger than it actually is with a small hallway leading to the patio. The bathroom was stocked with nice quality shampoos and soaps, but also had extras like eye masks, robes, and makeup remover. We arrived to a free glass of Rosé at the pool before eating at Norman, the hotel's restaurant. I could live in this hotel honestly, I loved it so much.

Comfortably sophisticated accommodations in the heart of the Santa Barbara Wine Country. Our four diamond property has fifteen individually decorated rooms, some featuring wood burning fireplaces. Accommodations include wine & cheese reception, housemade cookies at bed turndown service, continental breakfast, wi-fi and parking.
My wife and I stayed at the Ballard in for two nights in July of 2021. It was a Covid era visit, so there were some understanable limitaitons on services. Here's the good news, The Ballard Inn is a 1980's era bread andbreakfast built in the traditon of a Victorian Inn, with charming rooms, an excellent on-site restaruant, and a good breakfast. The little (and I mean little) town of Ballard is smack in the middle of the Los Olivos wine country of central California, and a good base for exploring the many wineries. It's out of the way, with no crowds, easy and free parking, and friendly staff. Here's the bad news, and there's really very little bad news. Most people (like us) stay here because you can't get a room in Los Olivos four miles up the road. Los Olivos is where many of the tasting rooms are, and the few restaruants. But the Ballard Inn is a nice alternative to the crowds, and if you have a car (or better, bikes like we brought) then you can enjoy the Los Olivos scene when you want and leave the bustle behind. There's really nothing in Ballard but a few homes and the great, quirkly little bakery accross the street. Don't miss it. But you'll enjoy sitting on the veranda and talking to the other guests, sipping a complimentary glass of local wine. There's a small garden and no pool, so if that's what you want you need to stay in town at the Fess Parker for a great deal more per night. We quite liked the Ballard Inn and will be be back.

Just back from spending a weekend at Zaca Creek. It is truly a hidden gem. The room was very clean with plenty of towels and toiletries. It is close to the freeway but noise is not an issue once you're n the room. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Tavern. Their cocktails were amazing. It is a quick drive to Solvang and Los Olivos. I look forward to our next stay!
