A new full comfort hotel, in the center of Santa Elena de Uairen from where you can have any tour to the Gran Sabana, Roraima, Angel falls aso... Price of the rooms begin at 35 $ per night. Hot water, drinkable water, air conditioned, parking, free internet wifi
HOT WATER! Did I mention HOT WATER! Even the pricey Eurobuilding in Caracas didn't have hot water. Posada l"auberge had some of the hottest water I've experienced in a 3rd world hotel. It's the perfect place to come after a grueling hike at Roraima. This hotel is located in the heart of the tourist / backpacker / trekker area of the city. It's safe (well-protected by 4 dogs and a locked gate), the owner (originally from France) and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Down the street is a wonderful little store which sells drinks and snacks. Out front is a street vendor which makes morning cafe' and cooks fresh empanadas. Restaurants are all within a block's distance. The room has TV, aircon, wifi, and a fridge. I wish I could have taken l'Auberge around with me in Venezuela so I had a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Formed by 7 tipical cabins with 2 rooms, hot and cold water / PORCH, in the center is a large Churuata with restaurant and receptionsdesk. The site is bordered by an creek and a lush rainforest. A beautifool swwimmjngpool invites for an refreshing swimm in healthy water without chlorine, Aqualux purification system, all in an special atmosphere and promises a pleasant stay You can come from Brasil. The next city Boavista / RR is close with conections all over.
Yakoo Lodge is perfectly set at the top of a hill, right in town but away from the bustle of Santa Elena. The rooms are large and comfortable and you are surrounded by nature at every turn. The food is fantastic and there is plenty of it, and staff were fantastic. We stayed two nights, one before and one after our trek to Roraima and we couldn't have been happier.

I stayed at this lodge, in transit to a Hiking trip to Roraima, so my expectations were low and basic. The place is located far from the main street, so is not easy to get there if you do not have a vehicle. On the other hand, the rooms are very basic and lack of some basics things. Mine do not have hot water. Some rooms have a ceiling fan others (as mine) have a mosquito net, which was very uncomfortable. The food was good but very basic. The service was very basic and the people was practical, but not particularly friendly. I could use the place as a transit point, but definitely not if you are staying some days in Santa Elena.
