In the extraordinary land that is Sicily, the south of the south, facing the Mediterranean is one of the most spectacular bays that you have ever seen, small but with a rich history; it is called “il varo a mare” “the sea harbour” because many boats landed here with tales of far-away places, while others set sail in search of them... “alled “il varo a mare” “the sea harbour” because many boats landed here with tales of far-away places, while others set sail in search of them.

Please note that the management Kaucana Inn from June 2015 is totally changed. The rooms have been refurbished and cleaned, the problems inherent in the old management completely erased. Therefore invited the gentiles users to disregard the negative reviews of past years, we invite you to visit our facilities, and secure a positive judgment on your part, we will want to get a feeling about reviews. Thanks The Direction. It located a few meters from the sea between Marina di Ragusa and Punta Secca, in front of the wonderful beach of the archaeological excavations of Kaucana and very close to the famous house of Montalbano Thanks to its strategic location you can easily reach many places of historical and cultural interest, such as the Castle of Donnafugata, Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and the Val di Noto. Marina di Ragusa with its promenade, one of the most beautiful of all Sicily, rich of places to spend pleasant evenings, a bustling marina is one of the few coastal resorts to have been awarded the Blue Flag for four consecutive years. Be it holiday or business trip, the hotel staff Kaucana Inn will take care of your stay with passion and professionalism.
We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a great motel about 10 mins walk from the town. The staff are so pleasant and patient with my pigeon Italian even though they did speak English. The rooms are clean, if a bit basic but it has everything you need including a small fridge and a balcony with table & chairs. The pool and grounds are well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, usual selection of breads, fruit and cheeses but all very tasty. On our last morning they served breakfast to our room - not sure why but it was lovely sitting in the balcony eating a very generous breakfast - see photo. I would highly recommend this place for a stay.

This little tiny hotel is a little bit more than a B&B with very helpful staff at your disposal, confortable rooms with all the basics available (TV, air conditioning, large shower) but the most interesting things are the LOCATION (10 meters, yes 10 meters, from the beach) with a private hotel shower right next to the parking and hotel entrance. Given this, it's just perfect to stay 1-2 nights and enjoy the checkout day until the evening being possible to quickly shower sand away before getting in the car. I strongly suggest for families: kids are just astonished by the location and possibility to stay out the entire day.

We have really enjoined our stay in Il Carretto Ibleo B&B with a very nice people met. We also had the opportunity to visit the internal “museum” with many ancient Carretto siciliano handmade by the owner. We really relaxed in this peaceful and and very quiet place close to many baroque places and not so far from many beautiful sand beaches. I’ll be there next year again with my family.

In the heart of the Mediterranean. Welcome to a coast where the golden sand is lapped by the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, where the archeological sites of Agrigento, Kamarina and Caucana, dip into the green carob and olive tree, are framed by white dry-stone walls. Etna, so magnificent, dominates the southeastern Sicily and its black lava contrasts with the bright colors of an island to find out. Parco della Rocca Hotel is close to a sandy beach, where you can walk or simply lie down to get a tan under the sun of Sicily.
Nice hotel and very clean. The pool was also ver nice and clean. The breakfast was consisted from a large variety of delicious food.we had a lovely and enjoyable stay! Everything was good, the food, the pool ...

We were over at Paul Revere’s house and needed to stop for lunch. The restaurants closest to house were expensive ($20+) for pasta. Francesca was just around the corner (you passed it on the trail before you get to Revere’s house) We started off with bruschetta (yum) my husband got the raviolis (yum) and I got the basil spaghetti (had too much garlic for my taste but that didn’t stop me from eating most of it!) Both of our meals were $9.95 (good value) We left full yet not overly stuffed.
