My wife and I had the two lunch choices listed as "Schnitzel and Sauerbraten for Lunch". Both of those were delicious and just the right amount for lunch. The "vibe" in this restaurant was very pleasant, and enhanced greatly by the attitude of the lady who waited on us. We had a great meal, a great German beer, and a very nice overall experience. I would come back often if I lived nearby because everything about this restaurant is just very enjoyable.

We were pleasantly surprised, the place is there, yet you don’t know it.
We had the Vietnamese Salad, half Corn-beef sandwich & Tomato soup, plus Tuna sandwich & mushroom soup. The soups were awesome, the corn beef sandwich was the best.
The difference here was the service, Miguelito? The owner, the lady & other young server provided very personal & attentive service. No doubt, we will be back.

Welcome to Chianti's Pizza & Pasta. Our focus is to bring old world recipes and flavors to Sanford! We now offer online ordering. Order your family dinner now! Chianti is a well known table wine originating from Tuscany. It was historically associated with a squat bottle enclosed in a straw basket, called a fiasco ("flask"; pl. Fiaschi); however, the fiasco is only used by a few makers of the wine now; most Chianti is now bottled in more standard shaped wine bottles. Chianti has graced the tables of many family dinners and first dates, and brings back memories of a simpler time, when the family met every evening to discuss family events, world news and celebrate milestones. We have built Chianti's Pizza and Pasta in Sanford, in a warm casual inviting environment to celebrate great food, Family and good friends and memories. We hope you feel the same way! Mangiare fino a scoppiare.......Eat until you pop!
This was the 1st time we tried Chiantis based on the reviews but I wouldn’t rush back. The service was good, prices were reasonable and the restaurant was clean but we were disappointed. The complimentary garlic knots were not warm or fresh. While debating about pizza, we ordered the 4 Cheese Baked Ziti and Lasagna, both were not very flavorful and could have used more sauce.

Stopped while visiting Sanford, menu looked good and not busy at 1:30 on a weekday. Older bar, table slanted, floor uneven small inside. Outside seating appears to be much more spacious. Bar tender/waitress got drink order quick and that’s when time stopped! Crab soup which was billed as Bisque but was actually a much thinner soup. Very little crab shreds to be found. After 25-30 minutes of empty soup bowls sitting on our table another waitress asked if we wanted our check, I said no we’d like our sandwiches. She went into the kitchen delivered them immediately while our original waitress chatted with a table in the front of the restaurant. Obviously they had been sitting waiting. Burger overdone and dry, probably from sitting under the heat lamp waiting. Now the crowning moment; a customer came in, in a wheelchair with a monkey on his head, yes a monkey. Health code? I’m sure it’s an emotional support animal, aren’t they all? It was cute, especially sitting on and running around his person picking who knows what out of his (owners) hair. Scratching all his parts and crevices and chittering. To add insult to injury he and his dinning companion were served and finished before we got our sandwiches, they entered the restaurant 20 minutes after us. We had a poor waitress and mediocre food.

Based on TA member reviews, my family members & I had a weekday lunch at The Original Christo's. Sidewalk seating was most popular on that sunny February day, and the inside seating filled up quickly as well. It appeared they were under-staffed both for table service & for food preparation, perhaps caught off-guard by the midweek crowd. This led to some slow service & anxious customers, including our party-of-three.
Our food was all fresh and tasted good, but nothing stood out among us as a remarkable dish. Maybe a little more focus on signature dishes would help with the quality and promptness of the dining experience. With an increasing number of dining options around Downtown Sanford, Christo's may need some work to re-establish itself as a go-to restaurant in the area. Some staffing planning & balance may help as well.

Went with my friend to catch up the other night and had a good time as it was quiet, and we weren't looking for a gourmet dinner. He was happy with his calzone - it was big and fresh baked. We had the pretzels for...MoreWe appreciate letting us know about your visit. Sorry that your experience wasn't what you were hoping for.

Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country
Cracker Barrel is like MacDonald's for a casual dinner - they are consistently decent in all respects and moderately priced. You won't get any gourmet meals here, and nothing is too out of the ordinary. But for chicken, steaks, and a few other common items in the American cuisine, you can get a fair portion of food that is highly edible. Perfect for travelers who don't know the area and want a reliably good meal. And good for locals who just want a night out without breaking the bank.
Some are painfully crowded, with long wait times for a table. At this one, figure 5-10 minutes at most. It's in between urban centers and common tourist stops, and doesn't get quite the crowds as some others I've been to.
The attached gift shop features items of "Americana" that typically appeal to an older crowd. That and an inexpensive "home style" menu draw lots or older folks. Nevertheless, there are games on the table for kids to play while waiting for dinner.

A production brewery and tap room that breaks away from the traditional industrial decor, with warm Arts and Crafts paneling, exposed brick and wood beam ceilings. Custom handcrafted community tables and bar made from 150 year old reclaimed barn wood lit with lovely tiffany style lighting. Large garage doors open to the street to allow people watching. Experience the working brewery in rear and full taproom gastropub in the front. Featuring house made craft beer and sodas plus Florida craft beer guest taps as well as. The menu is highlighted by comfort food, featuring Make your own Mac & Cheese, Giant Pretzels with beer cheese fondue, When Pigs Fly(Bacon flight) and Fried green tomatoes with bacon and pimento cheese. Also on the menu, are excellent prime burgers, sandwiches, appetizers along with gluten free and vegetarian options, there is something for everyone. Serving ciders, meads, hand crafted sodas and wine for non-beer drinkers. Children are welcome, non-smoking, dog friendly(outside seating-soon) with music on weekends. Come for the beer, stay for the food and the company. This is a great place to relax, chat, people watch and converse with others. The brewhouse will be hosting tours starting in late November.
Loved coming to this establishment! It was cozy, warm, down to earth and the food and service were great. Loved the beer - Uptown Brown was delicious! Our server was very attentive and accommodating. The staff seemed to work well together dodging and weaving to make their customers happy! Great ambiance:)

If you are looking for a delicious cheesesteak, them you must try LaSpada's! It's a very small restaurant, but don't let the size fool you. It's delicious! They'll customize your cheesesteak for however you'd like. Then add some yummy French fries, and I guarantee you will not leave hungry! They offer a great catering menu as well, which is always great for parties! Their hours vary so make sure to check and get your order in early. On the weekends they close at 5pm, 7pm on Mon-Thurs and 8pm on Fridays. I've only been to the location in Sanford, but they do have two other locations, one on Orange City and one in Orlando.
