This past December while on our way back to Pretoria to from Soweto, my family and I was told Tashas was a great place to have lunch. Service: The service was great. There wasn't a wait to be seat and with us having a large party, two servers took care of us. They both did an excellent job.Food: There are to many dishes to go over, due to a large party so I'll just comment on my dish, which was an ostrich burger. That was my first type having ostrich and I was really impressed. The meat was tender and the flavor was amazing. I can't recall what the spread it came with, but I wasn't a fan of it. Wifi: Not sure if they had wi-fi, didn't ask. I'm sure with Tashas connected to the mall, you could possibly use it's wifi.Overall: Everyone was happy with their choices and really enjoyed Tashas. I will recommend Tashas if you have the option to.

Overall, this place is solid 4 with excellent service and ambiance. We had a party of 4 for dinner. Both oysters and duck spring rolls were excellent appetizer choices. For entrees we ended up ordering lobster thermidore, chicken peri peri, sole in lemon butter sauce and beef fillet with green peppercorn sauce and steamed vegetables. Chicken was the most flavorful dish, lobster was good (a huge portion as well), beef fillet was subpar and sole was just a plain unmemorable and too dense fish entree. A quick comment on beef - this was not your typical 2 inch thick US fillet mignon, more of 1/2â properly cooked fillet. Steamed vegetables were severely undercoked. We ordered creme brulee and chocolate fondant for desserts, they were the best part of our dining experience. We had several different wines with our dinner and they were nice. Overall, we had a great time.

Its a nice place with good food and nice service.. Not that happening except on sunday's. You have live bands playing 4pm till the cafe closes. For rest of the days its just an ordinary cafe but highly recommended on Sunday afternoon/evenings

As we entered Piccolo Mondo, we were welcomed by almost every front line staff member. So nice to see so many happy staff member at 6:30am. We loved the variety of food on display for breakfast buffet. They have fresh fruit, cereals with yoghurts, juices, tea or coffees, cold meats, cheeses, Asian food, cooked breakfast. My husband and I were very impressed with the customer service we received. Dear brettnjess, Thank you for your wonderful review on TripAdvisor. Six of us went to Rocket, Rivonia, on Tuesday for dinner - it was absolutely shocking and we will never visit again. On entering, we were a little surprised that the waiters were wearing camo trousers? All the chairs at our table were damaged and in disrepair, with the foam falling out, as well as several of them being rickety. We arrived at 6.45 and got our main meal at 8.30. There were no large red wine glasses because they had been sent to the other restaurant we were told!!. The service was absolutely shocking - well non-existent. We ordered two calamari starters which were fine. When two of the main meals eventually arrived at 8.30, the chips with the steak were cold. We had to ask several times where the remaining 4 meals were - all rosti with smoked salmon. Last time we visited, we had rosti and it was very good. When they arrived, the rostis were all cold or just warm. They were certainly not freshly made, overcooked and like bullets. Cutlery was not replenished timeously. We had to ask for a jug of water several times. Wine was ordered but forgotten and the waiter had to be reminded. We called the 'manager/supervisor' (who was scruffily dressed in old jeans and top - certainly not a good representative of the restaurant, he was more like a bouncer) and his comment was that they were unusually busy and walked away - he wasnt in the least bit interested. That was not our problem - most evenings before a public holiday restaurants are busy. An absolutely disgraceful experience and none of us will ever go back there again. Maybe management has changed? And, on walking out, one of our party opened the front door and the handle came off in his hand! That just showed us everything.
