Very good restaurant on the coast. The food was very good and the portions ample. The staff were friendly and the facilities clean.

As usual, our group was served a delicious lunch. Everybody seemed to have something different from their famous hamburgers to fried fish to ceviche to nachos, and everyone was thoroughly pleased.
The atmosphere is beautiful, and the chairs are very comfortable, something not always encountered n CR restaurants.
Highly recommend in Golfito.
You can legally park alongside the street in town; it's sort of a Golfito tradition. Just don't totally block the sidewalk.

Casa Botania is a B&B located about 4 k south of San Vito de Coto Brus. If it is not full of guests choosing to make dinner Reservations, then one can dine there even if one is staying at the Wilson Botanical Garden or in San Vito center. The site is just one year old with two cabins and interior room in the small main building. The facilities are in the vernacular--comfortable and in good taste. The food is exceptional for the region--with extra care taken to buy the freshest ingredients locally available. My husband and I have eaten there at least six times and are never disappointed. The last dinner was the best ever--a thick filet of robalo (snook) perfectly cooked with a mustard cream sauce, browned garlic mashed potatoes and a broiled half tomato with parleyed bread crumbs. This was preceded by a divine and sophisticated fish soup (probably the robalo's bones lent themselves to the broth), with toast points a tad charred on the tips--just right! One could imagine being in Marseilles. Finally, crepes suzettes made with Grand Marnier. The owners are Belgian and Tico, and the results are certainly the best meal one can find in the San Vito region. Whenever we have guests from out of town, we find our way to the charming Casa Botania for dinner.
We spent two nights at the BandB, and every meal was wonderful. Breakfast comes free with lodging. It's a generous multi-course affair. Ample fresh tropical fruits, a fruit smoothie, fresh home-made breads and jams, and that's just the start. Belgian waffles, eggs, oatmeal in coconut milk, these are just some of the offerings we ate or saw served while there. And everything is done at an extremely high level of perfection. We had stuffed portabello mushrooms for our first night's dinner, preceded by a richly savory lentil soup, and accompanied by a ratatouille pasta, and deliciously fresh salad, followed by grilled pineapple desert. Our meals were especially prepared as Vegan, but the normal fare is lacto-ovo vegetarian. Each night we ate at the restaurant, it was busy, with both lodgers and outside diners who seemed to prove that a good vegetarian meal can satisfy anyone.
Kathleen and Pepe, the Belgian/Tico owners are wonderful people. They went out of their way to meet our dietary needs. They are great hosts. The restaurant is beautifully designed and offers spectacular views. A great place to eat and lodge.

The thinly sliced Prosciutto on our pizza was delicious......maybe the best pizza we ever had! The crust was tender, but crisp. We found the restaurant to be clean and the service was great. Our medium pizza arrived in a short amount of time with our drinks! Not being familiar with San Vito we had a little trouble finding the restaurant....but sure glad we did!

Restaurante especializado en carnes a la parrilla y pizza a la leña. Mirador con hermosas vista a la peninsula de osa y el golfo dulce. Un clima fresco y excelente ambiente familiar
This place is perched high on the hill overlooking the sorry old town of Neily. It seemed to have mostly locals but there were a few of us travelers that had strayed off the beaten path. It is a nice windy road that leads to it and the view are spectacular.
My wife had these yummy pork ribs and I had the small margherrita pizza which was also very tasty. The meal was a bit pricey but well worth it considering the food we received and the view we enjoyed for our Sunday lunch.

We're staying in a camper in their yard but have eaten all of our meals at this restaurant. The breakfast is semi-fixed but different every morning. Always starts off with a 'help yourself' fruit bowl.
One morning, Gallo pinto with scrambled eggs. Another a breakfast burrito, another fried potatoes with scrambled eggs.
The hamburgers are real cheeseburgers. The Lomito with churrasco salsa cooked over a wood-fired grill was outstanding. Fajitas are tasty.
In fact, everything we had at this restaurant was really, really good.

Sailed in and did a water landing to have a late lunch. The grounds include cabins for rent and next to Golfito Wildlife Refuge. They offer a great variety of options but opted for the grilled fish and plantains. Both were made fresh to order. Others in my party ordered arroz con pollo / shrimp. Everything tasted amazing. Their portions are large so you won't go away hungry. Don't look for a quick turnaround time, it took some time to prepare. Take the time to enjoy an ice cold beer and stroll the beach while waiting to eat. The people working the restaurant are very friendly. Would definitely go back.

This is an upscale Italian restaurant with a varied menu - pasta, fish, ravioli, risotto, pizza, etc. The food is beautifully presented, and they have a great house red wine. We had the meatball special with homemade fettucini which was delicious, and the asparagus risotto which did not have much flavor. The owner was very friendly and gracious.
