Montes Restaurant, The Courtyard at Monte Duquesa offers Mediterranean style dishes with exciting wines all presented in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Fine cuts of Argentinian, Spanish, Scottish and Irish meats are served alongside daily fresh fish a
We were staying within a couple of minutes walk of this restaurant and visited three times. The food is absolutely excellent! The three course special up to 7pm is great value for money. Set in a nice Courtyard area and the staff and service are very good too. Good range of drinks - Seville Orange Gin, delicious. Desserts superb. Totally recommend a visit here.
We had heard from friends and also read in the media that this restaurant was one of the best if not the very best of all restaurants in the Sotogrande - San Roque - Estepona area. A birthday dinner recently proved this to be true! It is now right on top of our list. The setting by the beautiful polo grounds in San Enrique is superb, with ample inside and outside dining. The main feature is clearly their grill corner. We were the first guests to arrive for their 19:30 opening time and started with a bottle of their fine house cava in a comfortable sitting area on the lawn to the side of the building. When we moved inside for our meal, we were delighted with the very tasty tray of humus, marinated mushrooms, small toasts and other snacks which arrived as soon as we sat down. We all ordered some rather thick slabs of fantastic beef, accompanied by a great Malbec wine from Argentina. We noted that for both the cava and the red wine, our very knowledgeable waitress recommended choices that were not among the most expensive on the wine chart. Soon, the place filled up with guests. The Asador Concha II is not the least expensive place to eat, but we know we will be back. This is great dining!

This restaurant certainly have some elementary problems ...We ordered "tempura prawns with chili sauce" and "gambas pil pil" (shrimps fried in olive oil with garlic and chili). Two very common dishes in Spain.Well, the tempura prawns came with a strange soy sauce. And the gambas had fried so long that you could almost break a tooth biting in it ...Horrible food - but the waiters were nice although v e r y slow ...We will never be back...

Located in the marina, this is a new restaurant in the area. The location is stunning, food is delicious and service is great. What more can I say? Looking forward to visiting again.

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant without a reservation. The hostess very kindly created space and set up an additional table for two. We were delighted, as we had a beautiful meal overlooking the veranda. I would particularly recommend the Argentinian steaks washed down with a nice bottle of Rioja.I would definitely recommend.

El Gaucho was the first Argentinian restaurant to open in Sotogrande, since 1985. Our goal is to provide high quality steak outlining the simple and uncomplicated pleasures of life. Because who needs more?
Ate here twice during stay in Sotogrande. First time didnât rate it but thought give it another chance. Nice surroundings and staff friendly. Overpriced food, with little accompanying vegetables or salad, just a jacket potato or very poor chips. Bread roll provided was warm to disguise its staleness as once cold it was like a brick. Mixed grill was okay, loads of meat cooking on a brazier brought to the table. Steaks had to be returned as not cooked to how ordered. Fish was okay. Wine was reasonably priced.

Used to be my favourite steak house in Sotogrande, but a few years back the quality became very poor. Still went back hoping I was just unlikely but not the case, simply order 2 medium fillets one burnt & other blue canât see how this is even possible. Now down in marina I hoped for a new lease of life, but not the case. Service was poor & so was the food, which is so sad as it used to be world class. There is simply no comparison to Cancha II or even El Gaucho.

Located in the grounds of the Polo Club at Soto, this is a lovely restaurant - decor heavily influenced by wood which is a prominent feature- exposed beams/ vaulted timber roof. Warm welcome and delightful staff. Place has a kind of rustic / natural elegance. Whilst other dishes are available they do serve the most wonderful Argentinian steaks. The seared scallops were also excellent - full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A quality dining experience.
