Given all the good reviews, I was pretty disappointed with the food at this restaurant. I had the catch of the day, and while the presentation was nice the taste was lackluster and bland. On the upside, the restaurant itself is elegant and in an excellent location. The service here was truly exceptional. Overall it was an ok experience because of the venue, service and ambiance, but because the food was not up to par given the hype (and price) I would not return to this restaurant.

The cuisines of La Catarina can be described as 100% Mexican. It is a restaurant in which traditional recipes with strong Mexican roots are presented in a contemporary environment. The restaurant is an homage to Mexican cuisine.

They serve nicely made italian food with hint of Mexico in it which surprisingly is not bad at all! I can say that their carpaccio is awesome! And they serve super tasty salsas. Its bit pricey due to the place, but its worth it.

A rare find, find out what local yuppies have been enjoying for generations, very simple food, exquisite steakhouse style meat cuts, lots of pork. A diamond in the dessert. La Nacional team usually rescues recipies from small towns and delivers them to your table. You cant leave Monterrey with out this craving generating machine!!!!!
La Nacional is a really good restaurant, for grilled meats is good, apetizers are good too (chicharoon de rib-eye, atropellado, etc). for dessert is good to, my favorite is pistachi cake (portion is really big, don't ask 1 cake for 1 people, is better to share).

It's slightly far off from where I stay else would have probably frequented more often. An Uber will drop you right outside the restaurant. It is a small place, I was there for lunch and most of the tables were occupied. I loved the palak paneer with chapati.. the rice and other delicacies in tables around were also tempting. May be next time. The service was good, the place could be cleaner and more vibrant with the setup. Do stop by for Indian curries.

Completely delighted by the rich flavors and top-notch service. I'm still having dreams about their cauliflower, soaked in a tagine sauce and peppered with spices, which along with their amazing tostadas is a must. Their selection of meats "meets" all tastes, from highly marbled cuts to lean cuts, cooked to perfection. Their beef ribs are slowed cook to perfection...an amazing experience with the right ambiance!

Nice formal atmosphere inside, and a relaxed simple atmosphere at the Terrace. Great dishes such as risoto, artichoke and the ribs. Some others not as good (ie. Carpaccio, pasta and canelonni). The wine list is good enough but on the expensive side. Service is excellent without being overwhelmed.

A great place to experience a northern Mexican treat! Excellent food, especially the steaks, which in my opinion is what everyone goes here for! My wife and I went here and ordered the queso fundido, guacamole, and ribeye on salt block. I definitely recommend one of the steaks on a salt block!
The cocktails were also excellent. I will say, the place is not cheap. Go with the family style, and it's reasonable, depending on how many drinks you get. However, highly recommend it!

This is a solid restaurant. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the service is good. The location in the middle of a residential neighborhood is easy to get to. There are several tasty options either for dinner or dessert. They have good cheap wines and great coffee. The place is small and is crowded most of the time.

This restaurant is located in the corner of a large mall. We ate dinner outside on the huge covered Terrace. Weather, views of the surrounding Mountains, and food were all great. Getting the salsa mixed at your table to your specifications is a nice touch.
There were lots of people here, but didn't feel crowded, just part of the energy. We really enjoyed the experience, and would definitely visit again.
