The staff are very helpful and friendly. Lydia from the front the desk reception is exceptional, she even gave us champagne. Thank you Lydia! Gabriel from the restaurant gave us an excellent service! They made our stay comfortable and the housekeeping staff kept our room clean! The location of the hotel is excellent for travellers who wants peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street. The main street is about 7-10 minutes walk. This hotel is highly recommended with their high quality of service and accommodation.

Nayara Alto Hotel is an amazing and magical place. It has a prime location for the perfect retreat. We had a wonderful time and we very much enjoyed our stay. The entire staff was very friendly, professional and attentive. We specially appreciated very much the hostess Rosario for her availability at any time, her precious advices, her continuous concern about our comfort, and her efficiency to follow up and rapidly solve the minor problem we faced regarding the heating in our room. We felt we were dealing with a friend. Thank you Rosario for everything… And many thanks to Nayara management for having her on your team.!

Hotel Cumbres San Pedro has changed the way to see and live the desert. A large citadel araises under the watchful eye of the Licancabur Volcano, by the chanar shadows and among the windind streams, perpetuating the simplicity of the indegenous people without neglecting the comfort offered by a luxury five star establishment. To experience it is the key; Cumbres San Pedro will take care of the rest.
Pros: 1. This is a wonderful property, vast, well maintained ,well decorated in local Andean style and lot of open spaces 2. The staff is helpful 3. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, beds are huge and super king size, indoor as well as outdoor shower area, good hot water 4. Transport from 1-9 pm from hotel to the downtown 5. Everyone was very serious about COVID protection Cons 1. The hotel is far. Even though it is 2 km from the downtown, the roads are unpaved, dusty, have stray dogs wandering around and cars are coming and going so did not appear safe to walk. Good only if you are planning outdoor activities not involving the downtown or planning the trip within the specified hours and have an active cell phone to call the driver. 2. The hotel is not geared for non-Spanish speaking tourists 3. Options for vegetarians is limited, How many times could one have pumpkin soup during a 5 night stay? 4. On our last day, there was a buffet breakfast with good options but other 4 days, breakfast was continental with limited options. Not something i had expected from a hotel with any number of stars. 5. Room service is not up to the advertised standard. I ordered tea and it was tepid water and paper cups. Who serves room service in paper cups? 6. The travel arrangement personnel try to help but language is a major issue, despite google translate. They made major blunders in our bookings and did not tell us about the correct process. They conveniently forgot to tell us that our reservations/bookings for lake Miscanti had to be reconfirmed in Socaire! Try not to book anything with them if you do not speak Spanish. 7. The rooms are far from the reception and though paths are well lit, it was challenging to walk when the temperatures were around 0 Celsius. 8. The room heating was not turned on until asked even though the outside temperatures were around zero. Overall, Felipe (daytime) and Christopher (nighttime) staff were unbelievably helpful and we could not have survived the hotel stay without them. Will I come here again? Perhaps no as the hotel is not geared for non Spanish speaking, tea drinking vegetarian tourists!

Hostal PUeblo de Tierra its a nice place to relax and enjoy the exeptional nature of the desert. We offer a comfortable terrace with swiming pool to rest when you come back of your excursions.
So enjoyed our stay here! All the staff were so nice, even when they made us breakfast sooooo early. Beautiful, spacious room, enjoyed returning after an exhausting tour. Also the area around the pool and the roof terrace made for a relaxing atmosphere. It was just outside the center, only about a five minute walk, so no problem, even nicer being more peaceful.

Noi Casa Atacama is located in the heart of the town of San Pedro, ideal to walk around the environment and discover the secrets of the ancient cultures of northern Chile. Hidden paths, ancestral treasures and wonderful postcards of the driest desert in the world, you can meet with us.
The stay was comfortable, and the staff was friendly, but the hotel could use some upgrades. I would not recommend the restaurant and the internet was almost non-existent. The pool was freezing cold. However, other properties in town would probably have the same issues. The hotel was too expensive for what you get.

If you are one of those who like to be steps from everything, Hotel Jardín Atacama is the perfect choice for you, we have a privileged location just two blocks from the central square and one block from Calle Caracoles, the main gastronomic and tourist centre of the town. And at the same time, in a very quiet street that will guarantee you a good night's sleep.
We stayed 4 nights here and it was a great stay. The room and bed was very comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpful. The pool/patio area is lovely and a great treat after a day of touring. The location is fabulous, just a quick walk from the center of town but down a side street so not right in the tourist hubbub. Breakfast was fabulous with all of the choices - different pastries every day, eggs made to order, cereal if you'd rather, juices, breads, etc. Only two drawbacks - Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms, only in the public areas. But it was nice and strong while sitting in the shade by the pool. Secondly is that there is some sort of live music venue right next door or somewhere very close by - sounded like they were standing right outside of our window. They didn't play long, seemed like just a couple of hours from about 9 to 11pm, and the music was good but if you're trying to get a good nights sleep for your 4:30am pick up to go to the Geysers it's a bit of a problem. All in all though, a very nice experience and nice stay!

The hotel is located in the centre of town on the corner of the main street of San Pedro de Atacama, four blocks from the square, the church and archeological museum.Hotel Kimal stands out for its design that recreates the traditional architecture of the Atacama with finely finished adobe, wood and volcanic stone in an old orchard. 19 rooms provide the comfort and elegance of harmonious simplicity. The hotel offers rooms with ensuite bathroom, telephone, minibar, room service and laundry service as well as full restaurant, bar and cafeteria service, outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.Within the hotel, Restaurant Paacha, famous for its fine cuisine, offers inside and outside eating areas.
'Kimal' is a nice, quiet spot - peaceful, pretty and comfortable. Breakfast was "fine" with all the essentials (juice, breads, eggs on offer, and just-decent coffee) to get you fueled up for your day of exploring! There is parking and staff are helpful enough. Fridges in rooms, good shower/bathroom (with shampoo, cond., soaps), and noon checkout. Worth a stay, for sure.

Tucked away on a gentle stretch of land in the outskirts of San Pedro, surrounded by the quiet presence of the Andes, Altiplanico San Pedro faces the impressive Licancabur Volcano, with a unique design inspired in the style of an Altiplano village. Enjoy the famous Atacama sunsets and relax from the smoldering sun in the fresh covers of our private terraces and beautiful swimming pool after a day exploring the driest desert in the world. The hotel was developed following the concept of visual silence, the eye registers the hotel in its totality included in the in the immensity of the Atacama desert.
After the 1st night, when we had the bungalow with plain (polished) concrete floor and ceiling, we got a very nice and comfortable and heated bungalow. The public areas are dismal, uncomfortable and not heated - hence quite cold in April. The metal dining furniture made you feel even colder. They should also improve on the dismal lighting. Reception staff helpful and friendly but the information was at times wrong. Breakfast basic, other food also. E.g. do not get misled by the "Iberian platter". You need to look for the Iberian ham with a magnifying class. It is basically a large selection of nuts...... Off hand service at the bar No TV even in public area. Overpriced as most SP de Atacama hotels

I wish I could stay for more nights in this hostel, it was the perfect mixture of social and calm. The people working here where very nice, they helped me with every question and problem I had. The dorm was nice, kitchen was fine, bathroom and shared areas where good. They even had a hammock. Breakfast was included in my room and one morning they they even packed me a lunch since I had to go early in the morning before breakfast started. I don't know what could be better in this price range.
