A grand closure to our short trip to San Luis. Los Tonoles was chosen for its ambience as well as it's food., There were seven of us and all had great meals and shared in a sublime dessert. From Filet Mignon to Tomahawk steak that would have choked a horse, but I was told, was simply delicious. My only real hang-up with steak in Mexico is that the restaurateurs do not let their beef age enough and then, even the finest cut of beef is tough and does not cut like butter, which a well aged beef cut will give you. Too bad, since this restaurant has everything else. Great waiters, great setting, unbelievable entrees but tough steaks

Positives:- atmosphere - service- good quality- musicNegatives:- expensive- they do not share wifi
Visited here with my girlfriend and we realy enjoyed the view of the park from our hightop table. The mediterranean salad and guacamole were really delicious. Service was great! We ordered a giant mango michelada which was also really yummy. The music they play is really good too. Worth a visit!! :)

The atmosphere was great, the décor very appealing and the place was busy. Thought I would order the Lobster cannelloni and that would be sufficient. I did not expect a small oval plate with '' count 'em '' 5 cannelloni and a miniscule amount of sauce to go with them. In addition, the lobster was not from the meaty section of the claws or the tail but rather the hard smaller claws. I told the waiter that I asked for a main dish, not an appetizer. He told me 'that's what you get'. That was in mid-December and I'm still hungry when I think of it. The rest of the meal, for the others, seemed to be OK.So when you go, don't order the Lobster Cannelloni as a main course, you'll be starving when you leave.

Had a great meal with friends at Gran CentralThe place is really nice. Big and spacious. A nice decoration make this restaurant quite unique. The service was great. Very helpful and kind. The ambiance in the restaurant was quite nice and familiar. The food was good. Hard to make a decision to go with fish or steak! We did steak and made a good call! The tab was quite pricey. Definitely a good choice in SLP!

We had a very nice experience here. Delicious food, fantastic service and nice atmosphere. Even I had a feeling that something was still missing, which I still don't know what it is. There are some nice restaurants in town, but in San Luis Potosi you won't barely find the good restaurants with good service. Not like in the other cities in Mexico. But this one is exception. I ordered the palmitos for appetizer. The presentation was surprising. And it was so delicious. They have nice selection in the wine list. But I found them so expensive. Probably they charge the double of the price other restaurants offer. But still I want to go back there again to try some other interesting menu.Hi , thanks alot for your comments about our Restaurant , we hope to see you soon.

This is not a wine bar..yes they have wine but were only serving 2 by the glass and those were not the best quality. The food was mediocre, lukewarm and not well cooked. The server tried her best and was the only thing worth mentioning. Finally, someone was smoking which was disgusting and when we commented we were told nothing could be done. No return visit for us!

Visited last month for late lunch. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly. We ordered a bottle of Baron Balche, probably one of the best Mexican wines we've tried so far. The waiter brought us artisan bread, butter and saucesWe wanted to start with something we had not tried before, so we ordered "escamoles" a real treat and an amazing Mexican delicacy. Do not miss this dish, you will not regret it!We then had the tuna tartar, so buttery and rich... As third course we had the baby octopus "chicharrones" nicely served in a molcajete with guacamole. The baby octopus were breaded and fried, too much for such a delicate product. It would have probably be a better dish if baby octupuses were grilled to achive the chicharron texture, instead of breaded, but that is just my opinion. We still wanted to try something else and since the pizza oven was right behind us, we ordered a pizza margarita. Simple, good and made before our eyes. We had no space for dessert, it will be next time...

Cesar salad made at the table; steaks cooked in wine at the table and desserts at the table. Old World. The waiter/chef told us what he was doing along the way and the result was marvelous. Very relaxing dinner and I understand why it is a favorite in San Luis. I would go back
