Could you pick a better setting. We sat in a restuarant high up on the valley rim overlooking the town as you come into town. The view was spectacular. You could see across the valley to the other rim. You could watch different weather patterns come in, it rained twice while we were having our lunch.
The town itself is a gem, an agri town, lots of coffee. We ended up walking through the town on another day and found little markets and coffee shops. Bazooka's steak place was a welcome find, although Trip Advisor wont let me post that one for some reason! This is a town I had to drag myself away from. We'll be back.

Mi K-fe (pronounced "mi cafe" - get it?) is a small chain of bakery/eateries in San Isidro. This one is located a block beyond the stadium and Hotel Los Crestones on the Dominical road. I was staying on the other side of the Interamerican Highway, but I like to walk, and first thing in the morning was the best time to do so. In about 20 minutes I would get to this Mi K-fe and have my breakfast mid-walk. They offer the typical Costa Rican breakfast of gallo pinto with just about anything. I also enjoyed some of their baked goods. The coffee is made Costa Rica style, pouring water through a cloth bag containing ground coffee, and about half the times I went there they made it right beside my table. This cafe is fairly new and very clean, and since it is on a corner, it is open on two sides, so it is light and airy. They offered a varied lunch menu as well, but since I was there every day for breakfast, I felt I should try other places for other meals.

I could have sat there all day, trying different beautiful coffee drinks. They were all presented so beautifully. They have food, too, but I was just passing time while waiting for someone and using the internet. Their kitchen was busy, as though they were filling orders for catering or Takeout.

If you come across Soda Suyapa, stop in for unbelievable homemade ice cream. They serve it on top of fresh fruit and the ice cream is very unique. Has the consistency of sorbet (water based) but is actually creamy. Never had anything like it! Wish they had it in the states.

We visited as two families -- three generations.
Pizza Gabriel has the best tasting pizza I've had in Costa Rica. And to top it off, our granddaughter really enjoyed the kids' playground installed in the facilities. She got to interact with other children who were very polite and friendly. She spoke English and the other children spoke Spanish, but they had no trouble communicating in the language of fun and play!
They cater to birthdays.
And the facilities were clean...service was friendly.

There was a international women's club meeting there today. The views were stunning and a pleasant place to eat. Unfortunately the food was not that good my friend had black bean soup that look like car oil with 2 hard boiled eggs!! Tasteless. My fish was ok but could have been better

From the moment Kapiblu opened I have been impressed with this quaint cafe. The coffee is perfect! I've been telling people about it verbally and everyone who goes thanks me! It's been open for two years now. I commend the owners in continuing their high quality of products! It's a cozy place to enjoy any time of day! Try it! You will love it!

We are Restauran focusing on healthy, organic and local products. Our menu offers dishes that includes salad, burritos, wraps, special, smoothies, breakfast items, vegan and vegetarian options are always available.
This is our 5th year coming to Costa Rica for a vacation. We look forward to having a delicious meal at Urban Farm. Being welcomed by Laura (and she remembers us) adds to the enjoyment of the food and atmosphere of the cafe. Traveling through Costa Rica and eating meals in different locations generally means we are going to have the same type of foods offered on each menu. But at Urban Farm the variety of salads (such as Ceasar), wraps (such as Falafel), scrambles, fruits, smoothies, Deserts (ask for their vegan brownies - if available) and specials that change according to seasonal availability are a welcome treat. Everything is fresh and organic ingredients are on the menu. We were told that the next time we come to Urban Farm, we can eat in the outdoor covered patio, which is in the process of being created. Fabulous!!
