San Gimignano, known as the "city of beautiful towers," had 72 towers in its heyday. Now 14 remain, and, rising above Tuscany's Elsa Valley, they make the town look like a medieval dreamscape. Take in the fresco-covered Collegiate Church, the Civic Museum and the views from atop 177-foot Torre Grossa. Daytrippers from Florence tend to fill up the streets during the day, so for a more up-close-and-personal look at the town, spend the night.

Located in the centre of San Gimignano, Le . bed and breakfast Le Undici Lune, guest can visit the nearby Tuscan towns such as Poggibonsi, a 20-minute drive away. The Florence Peretola Airport is 60 km from the property.
We arrived to San Gimignano with no place stay. We looked everywhere for a place to stay and everyone told us they were fully booked (italian long weekend). After wondering around with our luggage for an hour we happened to see Mary’s B&B sign in small street one block away from the main street. We ringed her, and after a couple of minutes Mary arrived. She told us she was also fully booked but that the couple that was coming still hadn’t arrived. If we waited a couple of hours and they didn’t show, the room was ours. We asked her if we could leave our luggage and tour the city while we waited for the hours to pass. After 3 hours of traveling around San Gimignano we returned to Mary’s B&B, the couple hadn’t showed up so the room was ours. The place was awesome, spacious, clean and with everything we needed. We even had an awesome look to the medieval city. In the morning Mary surprised us with a traditional italian breakfast (delicious and included on the price of the room). All in all, the stay couldn’t have been better, I fully recommend Mary’s B&B Le Undici Lune. Thanks for everything Mary!!

Colonial house, fully rebuilt, respecting the original Tuscan architectural lines and antique traditions. Panoramic view over San Gimignano and its tower. Characteristic furnishing with terracotta floors and wooden ceiling-beams. The rooms, as well as being surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside, are sound proofed and fitted with satellite TV and bathroom with shower, air conditioning and telephone.
Extraordinary stay, especially the kind and welcoming personality of Barbara, the owner, and that everything is homemade with so much love and dedication. A rather small accommodation that made it very cozy and calm. You need a car to get there and around the area.

Charming rooms. Inside an ancient palace along San Gimignano's city walls, in the heart of the medieval village, you will find Il Nido di Anna, a set of charming rooms that were thoroughly renovated last year. The four double bedrooms have been decorated in romantic style and a great care has been devoted to every single detail. No smoking and no animals. Private bathroom WIFI free Electric kittle witch tea or camomilla Conditioned air Hairdryer Shower, bidet, bathroom set In the room, window with shutter Il Nido di Anna is located on the first floor of a historic building in the center of San Gimignano, without a lift, but with very comfortable stairs. Italian breakfast with coffee, cappuccino, tea, croissant, butter, jam, honey, juice, served in the breakfast room on the ground floor.
The "hotel" is a remodeled apartment, so the rooms can't be very spacious. It is located in the heart of the city. The room we had was very nice and clean. Carefully decorated and enough for two people. The room window was over the street and it got noisy in the morning when the town started to wake up. Perhaps more sound isolating windows would help.

The farmhouses are located no more than 2,5 km from the medieval town of San Gimignano in the district of Siena. The "Casale del Cotone" as well the "Rocca degli Olivi" are surrounded by 70 acres of vinyards and olive trees. They were erected in the 17th century at the bottom of the hill where is located the ancient Roman church "Pieve di Cellole" which inspired Giacomo Puccini to compose the opera "Suor Angelica".
Host was very unfriendly and he was obviously not happy that we arrived around 8 p.m. Dogs were barking all night, wasn't clear if it was customer's dogs or the dogs from the hotel but it was not possible to find sleep. The breakfast was a joke, you can take breakfast from 8-9.30, as a consequence everybody is at the terrasse at the same time and you wait up to 20 minutes for a coffee. The bread was clearly not fresh, or toasted a day ago. Additionally there was a guy working with machines next to the terrasse on Sunday exactly at the time slot when everybody takes breakfast.

Rooms and apartaments full of charm and equipped with all the comforts for an unforgettable stay in a refined setting in the heart of the medieval center. All have private bathrooms, hairdryer, TV, air conditioning. A living room with kitchenette is available to customers. The structure can be reached by car for loading and unloading baggage or other needs, both free and guarded parking lots are approximately 200m and the personnel will give indications on the matter.
We expected more because of the comments on Trip adviser. We booked the two bed room; it was big enough, but not ready (key was missing, and it was very unfriendly waiting there). The rooms seems to be clean, but cold. It was too expensive. Stayed one Night.

In the countryside sorrounding San Gimignano, "Antica Dimora", notified as historical and monumental residence, offers to its own guests the opportunity of staying with complete relax and comfort in rooms/suite/apartments furnished with antiques, canopy beds and precious fabrics. Of common use is a wide lounge with tuscan fireplace, equipped kitchen, table chairs and armchairs. Parking reserved to our guests in front of our house.
Unfortunately we didn't able to enjoy this room because of covid. Our stay was planned 5-6.06.2020, so Italy has opened border but we couldn't go from Poland (necessary quarantine in Germany, closed border in Austria, lack of flights). We tried to shift our trip next year but owner didn't agree and they offered date transfer only to end of July 2020. This date is inaccessible for us, because we can't change our leave plan and we can arrange new trip only next year. We explained our situation but staff didn't care about this because they known, that we paid in advance for room which we didn't able to enjoy. Additionally, in spite of information about English us accessible language, staff answerred us in Italian, what it was very rude in my opinion.

The "Locanda di Quercecchio" is located in a medieval palace in the historic centre of San Gimignano. The setting reminds of the ancient times when the pilgrims traveling on the Via Francigena were looking for a safe rest inside the walls.
My husband and I stayed at Locanda di Querchecchio and absolutely love it. The place is located in the middle of this adorable city( best location) and it’s spotless and super clean. Patrizia, the owner who also owns a bar in the city, she is lovely, very helpful and kind!!!We definitely want to comeback!!!

The rooms are well-kept and comfortable. located within the city walls of San Gimignano it is very convenient to visit the city. It is possible to enter with the car to unload the luggage and then you have to go out to park in one of the paid parking areas outside the walls. The breakfast prepared by the lady of the house is delicious and varied with cakes made by her the night before, cafe, jams, Nutella and Croissant never fail on the table but also eggs and bacon. Nice place and location, good value for money.
