Reviews on International food in San Andres Island, San Andres and Providencia Department, Colombia. The coral island of San Andres is a diverse ecosystem of reefs, geysers, groves, and cays. Needless to say, it’s perfect for diving, snorkeling, and outdoor exploring. This paradise has multicolored warm waters and 12 mangrove forests, and the beach cedars of Johnny Cay are like natural condos for beach birds. Keep an eye out for overlooked pirate treasure at Morgan’s Cave before chowing down on rondón, a signature Caribbean dish of fish, pork, conch, plantain and coconut milk.

Stopped in for the baby beef and the pasta napolitana. Service was very attentive and the food didn't take long to arrive. The pasta was soaked in olive oil and the beef was served rather blandly, but it was far from terrible. As far as price, not too far off the mark for boardwalk eats, 20K for the pasta and about 35K for the beef. I thought the extra portion of fries were steep for the small amount we got, but hey, its San Andres. The setting is more of a diner than a fine eating establishment, but that shouldn't let you underestimate the quality of the food. All in all, I'd recommend a stop in here for a bite.

The food was delicious! Ate several times to try different menu items and enjoyed them all. The portions were good and the price excellent. The fish ceviche was fresh and prepared perfectly. Had lunch in my bathing suit with coverup and was fine. Highly recommend!

I was looking forward to having a meal at this restaurant but I was dissapointed. The only great thing this restaurant had at dinner was Berta, a great server. Food was average. I am sorry I can't say amazing things about their food.......just average. Restaurant lacks so much ambiance. I would not recommend this place. Very expensive. Not worth it. I can't believe this expensive restaurants does not have a beverage menu. Liquors at hand were not the best. In as far as the view, many other resutaurants in the island have an amazing view as well.....it's just not enough.

Yes, the various pics you see of Star's Kitchen are accurate. Joined some friends here for lunch one day, maybe 30 feet from the beach with nothing but the occasional passerby to interrupt the view. And their beach is pretty nice and far less crowded than others, so feel free to linger a bit and enjoy a swim after your lunch. Or while you wait.My wife and I split the fish of the day and a ceviche with a couple nice and cold cervezas. Fish was excellent and she enjoyed the ceviche. (The split wasn't exactly 50-50... ) with some absolutely fantastic "french fry fillins" - yucca? Not sure the name, but they were brilliant. Total cost with servicio was around $25. Biggest drawback - we would have enjoyed a couple more cervezas, or even some of he house special drinks, but due to bad luck, we were unable to put the lunch on our card and had to keep it under what we had in pocket. I guess it's a coinflip whether or not it will be working. So bring cash.

Restaurant and Wine Bar in San Andres Island. It offers international cuisine with friendly and bohemian atmosphere. Our dishes are fresh, made instantly. Delight the place while you enjoy a glass of wine.
I don't know if maybe this place has different owners now, but I don't understand the mentioning in Lonely Planet and raving reviews on TripAdvisor. We came here after reading those and left rather disappointed. A shame I didn't look at the menu before going in. It's almost never a good sign if a restaurant serves meat, seafood, burgers, pizza, pasta, paella and fondue all at the same time. We ordered bruschetta as a starter. They were definitely deep frozen and the one with tomato cubes was inedible. My main (vegetables in a balsamic reduction and parmesan cheese) was OK, so was my husband's burger. At the prices they charge, you would expect better though. Also, the wine and coffee aren't a big deal. However, the waitress was quite friendly and the interior looks nice. To conclude, the 'gourmet' in the name doesn't mean much, it serves to lure in tourists.

Must make reservation! But well worth it! We booked 2 days out for 7pm. Had a nice table for two outside on the dock. Service was prompt and very professional. Had the tuna tartar and grilled ceviche as appetizer and seafood fiesta which was plenty for two. The white sangria and tres leches were also outstanding. The best meal of our trip!
