Reviews on Turkish food in Bafra, Samsun Province, Turkey. Bafra is a district in the Samsun Province of Turkey.

We visited this restaurant when we were travelling from Samsun to Sinop. We had heard a lot of positive feedback about this place and we wanted to experience it ourselves. Beware: the restaurant has also a branch in a gas station on the high way, the one we went to is the original branch inside Bafra. Let me start with the location: it's located in a small street (there is a small car park for restaurant customers), the place itself is quite small as well. Decoration is mediocre and even a little bit kitsch. The oven where they cook the pides (the speciality of this place and the only food that is available) is interesting to watch. The waiters are all very attentive, helpful. However, the cooking time is long: it takes around 30 minutes for your orders to be ready. It's recommended to call the restaurant before you go and to give your orders beforehand in order not to wait but we did not do that thinking it might have been exagerated; yet no exageration: it took exactly 30 minutes for our orders to be served. As for the taste of the pides, they were okey, nothing too fancy. In fact, I can even say use of butter was too much. We were expecting a spectacular feast after having read all the reviews but what we experienced was rather ordinary.Personally, I would not recommend a special visit to this place but if you are around, yes, you can give a try.
