The place was a culinary destination in the DR. Now is just average French restaurant. The service is ok. They have this tall waiters in pony tails walking around socializing a little too much and not taking care of the paying customers. Prices are high for the quality of the service and food. Location is excellent! I have visited several times and my family truly enjoys the hotel and the food. The chef his name was Gérard? if I remember correctly is a kind a very attentive professional. I did not see him in my three visits for dinner and drinks.

This restaurant is located beside the pool at the Alegio Hotel surrounded by beautiful gardens. The menu is great, food is tasty, service is good and desserts are some of the best in town...so why only 3/5? We were here three times and each meal was consistently good, but on the second meal 2 of our 6 family members spent the night very sick. We finally worked up the courage to go back for dessert and coffee a few nights later. We asked for decaf coffee and lying in bed awake at 3 am realized it was NOT decaf. Take your chances...great desserts and your meal will be tasty!

The Restaurant Is In Front Of The Sea, You Can Eat Fish And Seafood, French Or Spanish Kitchen, With Low Price
Nice location, across from the beach in an traditional building. Well built but poorly decorated and without much charm and logic. The service is pleasant and efficient and the food local with French touches. The food is nice, but nothing special. I am continuously surprised to receive, in a country with so many varied spices and food stuff, such "nothing special" food!

Very clean restaurant very good service and good food as well.A little more expensive than other restaurants but worth it. Located on the beach the night sea breeze was exceptional. Very good restaurants for special occasions as it is decorated exceptionally. We ate there twice during the week and both times found it to be a great experience.Looking forward to our return to visit this very nice restaurant.

We really loved our experience here after a local Italian suggested it was the best Italian in the area. It is so very authentic and having lived in Italy, I can tell you that I felt transported back instantly. It is great value, great food, great service. The ambiance is somewhat rustic and plain, but very much like many places I have been to in Italy. Highly recommend!

Came here a few years ago with the kids. This time only us. The food is as good as we remembered; the weather this evening far better. Pizza as good as it gets anywhere, but with an atmosphere unique to this restaurant. Waves gently lapping at the beach, sipping our Rosé, and eating great Italian food. Eggplant Parmigiana appetizer a winner. Go and enjoy!

Not sure why this restaurant has so many good reviews, this was certainly our poorest dining experience in Las Terrenas. The food was expensive and tasteless and the specialty cocktails tasted like someone had poured leftover drinks from the end of a night into a glass. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the bartender was friendly so I hate to leave a bad review, but honestly, this restaurant simply isn't worth visiting. Please can you tell me wich day was , this is was on friday 26 ?? And sorry about that , if you come back we will make a better work for sure Message from the bartender

XO is located in a very beautiful, refined and harmonious open space, offering the most beautiful scenery with the view of the infinite ocean, which, together with its delightful unusual details, makes XO a place where people keep coming back.
We ordered several appetizers including the lobster with ham and croquettes. The lobster was chewy and dry. The chicken croquettes were okay, but the seafood croquettes were ICE COLD. When we inquired about it the waitress said she can warm them up, not replace them with another order, but literally microwave them. The shrimp pasta was okay, and the tuna Tataki was okay as well, although the rice that came with it was dry and undercooked. The wine we ordered was great. Iâm not sure where all these great reviews are coming from, maybe it was an off night, but it did seems wierd that the restaurant was practically empty.

Weâd passed by this restaurant a couple of times, then checked out the reviews on trip advisor, there were a couple that said if you speak English donât bother going, this very nearly put us off going, so glad we did. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the waitresses spoke great English although I did try my bad Spanish on them, food was fantastic we both had the local filet mignon wa amazing, Frederico the host came over and introduced himself asked how our meal was and even gave us complimentary digestifs, sorry I forgot to mention the onion rings and mozzarella sticks that arrived at the table shortly after we arrived. Will def return before we leave and thoroughly recommend giving at a try, our best meal so far in Las Terrenas
