II couldn't recommend staying at the Safari Beach lodge more. The setting is idyllic and the staff are super friendly- going out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. The rooms are basic, however, you are not going there to stay inside your room- but instead you will be enjoying the stunning views from the property and the wildlife surrounding them (especially the monkeys!). There are a number of activities available too, we got a boat to lizard Island and you can do a guided hike. I thought the food was great too- one evening the staff organised a meal on the terrace for us overlooking the lake- such a special evening. I will remember this trip for years to come- thanks for such a memorable stay!

Beautiful, comfort, stunning views and value for moony! This was our second visit to blue waters and every time we visit we enjoy different atmosphere and the settings, We just love the entire concept sort of all in one-private plunge pool /beach pool, music fantastic, Dining under the large tree restaurant, the gentle evening walk on the lake-shore, jet-ski ride/trip to namelenje island simply relax and comfort in fully integrated beach resort. The resort team so helpful and food was so delicious too. There was a lovely and unexpected touch of a tasty cocktails servd by the bar team. We enjoyed beach playing, paddle boarding and snorkeling too, and we truly enjoyed the massages from the brilliant therapist who lives close by and comes to do treatments. We enjoyed the wonderfully maintained both pools too. Excellent service-Thanks to amazing management and staff for all your wonderful care and hospitality, we look forward to visiting you again soon. overall unforgettable experiance.

Kuti Wildlife Reserve is located in central Malawi. This nation is known as ‘The Warm Heart of Africa’, both for its stunning beauty and friendly people. Kuti is home to a variety of animals native to this area. Although no dangerous predators live here, there are plenty of animals such as zebra, eland, monkeys, giraffe and a great variation of birds. The absence of dangerous game makes the park accessible on foot or by bicycle, which gives you a unique and up-close experience with the bush. Besides sharing the beauty of nature, Kuti Wildlife Reserve is important for the local communities. We raise awareness about ecology and support community projects. By changing local perceptions of wildlife, we hope to preserve wildlife for future generations. Visit Kuti and experience the unique tranquillity of the African bush!
We had a lovely villa with two very large bedrooms and both having a large en-suite. The spacious sitting area complete with its own kitchen meant you could easily prepare food and the outside barbecue and fire pit meant you could relax outside round the table or lounge around on the comfy chairs. The villa was amazing with it’s it’s beautiful high pitched thatched roof and windows looking straight out into nature. Of course this was only part of the story, the park is well stocked with wildlife and we enjoyed early morning and sunset drives and we were left with magical memories and photos .So will have to do for now until with have another chance to visit again

Had not been for a while but always our favourite family day outing. Just our most favourite place. Lots of changes, new restaurant going up, however service is terribly slow, not amused at all. In addition consideration should be made to constructing beautiful shaded wooden beach deck that runs along the wall, with appreciate deck furniture to give more room to visitors to lounge and enjoy the lake. Swimming pool area too crowded. Aftwr almost 2 hours wait, food was served cold, fish fillet dry, “French fries” cold and not presentable! Definitely did not meet standard I have been used to here. Disappointing!

The staff, from the owner to the cleaner were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. They not only attended to our every need, but wants even. We felt like masters of everything we surveyed! We were in one of the lakeside rooms. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had working air conditioning and a ceiling fan as well. The ceiling fan, we assumed, was there for when there were power outage. The bedding was clean and as crisp as any we've encountered in topnotch hotels across the world. The bedding was changed daily as was the field of towels in the bath room. There was ample storage for clothes and gadgets. There was also working fridge in the room in which we cooled our illegal outside-bought fruit juices and the even more illegal booze! There were no mosquito net over the bed which initially had us worried. However, overnight, we soon realised that hotel staff had taught the local mosquitoes to give the hotel, and did their guests, a very wide berth indeed. Over the weekend we spent at the hotel, the bites we got had nothing to do with mosquitoes. But then, that's a different story for a different kind of website... Outside our room, were was a veranda the size of several houses. On that veranda was a dining table and a swing chair. Many a romantic moments were stolen over breakfast, lunch, dinner and the illegal drinks mentioned above. A couple of more romantic moments were enjoyed on the swing chair... The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. There were comfortable lounging chairs, several tables and chairs around the swimming pools as elsewhere in the hotel grounds in front of the lake. The beach in front of the hotel was clean as was the foreshore waters which made for a relaxing swim. There was a useful outside shower just into the hotel perimeter from the lake. The restaurant was big and airy, with an upstairs dining area to take in the sunrise over the lake. The breakfast, which was a typical Malawian hotel/lodge affair: cereal eggs -cooked in several ways, chips, baked beans, toast with margarine, doughnut, tea and coffee, fruit, etc was adequate. Lunch and supper, however were a different matter. The charcoal grilled fresh chambo (fish) and chicken served with either nsima (cooked maize meal starchy polenta-like staple food) or chips (in some parts of the world fried potatoes are a delicacy!) and salad were amazing. There were also Indian-inspired dishes as the chef was of that heritage. We didn't sample the Indian cuisine. Whilst swimming in the lake, we bought some recently murdered fish from a local fisherman who was passing across the beach. We aimed cook the freshly dead fish over an open fire on the beach. However, the hotel's chef very kindly professionally prepped and charcoal grilled the fish into an amazing meal as mentioned above. He did not charge for his services. The chef also threw in portions of chips and salad for free. There were several activities offered by the hotel as paid, yet affordable extras. These included boating, parasailing, banana (tube) boating, etc. The boat pilot was a very friend and lovely chap, yet he was obviously safety-aware and conscious. There were a couple of improvements that would have made the visit a perfect 10. During our visit the hotel's Wi-Fi was down as it was being refurbished. The hotel's owner as well as the hotel's manager apologised for the inconvenience caused by the lack of connectivity. However, the hotel could have easily bought and provided patrons cheap internet bundles for less than 1% of the accommodation cost as a complement and a temporary solution. We had to cut our stay short by a day as so we could return to the capital city to do some essential work over the internet. Also, the shower in the bathroom could have been hotter. It was lukewarm at best. That said, we have stayed at about a dozen different hotels and lodges in Senga Bay, but Lakeside Hotel is one we'll surely revisit.

We arrived at wheelhouse marina and at first glance the place looks lovely. However as our day proceeded things got worse and worse. There is absolutely no shade next to the pool, everything is worn down, the pool is dirty and the service non existent. At night people played extremely loud music until 2am and nobody from the hotel asked them to please turn the volume down resulting in a terrible night sleep. We woke up in the morning around 7 and there was no staff anywhere to be seen, no pillows on the deck and no possibility of ordering coffee or breakfast. When the staff did decide to show up a good hour later to take our order and set up the pool they told us half the options were not available. On top of this we found hair in both the food and coffee. If you’re looking to have a good time and relax I would recommend you pick another place.
