This is a wonderful little sushi restaurant in the village of Onishi, now part of the town of Fujioka. The owners are a friendly little family. The food is outstanding, fresh and beautifully presented. I know that it is traditionally made--from rice to omelet--and fresh because the sushi master taught a group of us a lesson in making sushi. There is traditional counter-seating for seven or eight in the front, with private rooms in the back. For a real treat, order the delicious umeshu (plum wine) with the plum in the bottom of the glass! The sushi menu (four plates, each with a different variety of sushi) ranges from 1188-1728 yen. Very reasonable for outstanding food. And unlike big-city sushi restaurants, you'll be full at the end of the meal!
