I came inthis famous lolo to have diner with my motherEverything was wonderfull especially the accras, the fish and the creole shrimp! The manager was wonderfull and even escorted us with his car to the cash machine because he said it was not secure for 2 women to withdraw cash alone at nightWe really appreciated that place and do think it is the best Lolo in Grand Case (we of course have tested the others and the taste and the quality of the food was way better there)We will definitively come back au coin des amis !

If you have seen the ocean, and don't need the romantic view, Chez Maguy may be what you are looking for. Super fresh food, locals eating here "not tourists". Pricing is very fair, service very nice, portions large in comparison to many restaurants. If you are on island for a while make this a MUST DO stop. If you are here on a cruise ship, follow the tourists this may not be for you. We will of course return. See the photos attached. Jc

My wife and I were disappointed to see that the previous mention here of Villa Royale was headed "Destroyed", because we looked forward trying it after reading other reviews and writeups. Well, I'm happy to report that Villa Royale is (finally!) back in business as of October! Seems not to have been rediscovered by American tourists, because on our Sunday night visit, all the other customers were French-speaking. Delightful Creole food, and an excellent value for money. My wife and I shared a tempura shrimp appetizer; the shrimp were perfectly fried, and the batter crust had a bit of a creole spice kick. She had the triggerfish filet, while I had a whole snapper, both perfectly prepared. Each dish came with a choice of side (we both had the creole rice, which was great) and a small salad on the plate. Desserts looked tempting, but we chose not to indulge. The indoor dining room is bright and clean (all new), while the porch provides a more romantic night-time atmosphere (and is quieter for conversation, despite traffic going right by). There were a few service lapses that I'm sure will be fixed as the newer staff gain experience. Other than that, the manager and the owner have things well in hand. All in all, a delightful change of pace from the more upscale restaurants in Grand Case. Do go!Thank you guys for the review. Yes indeed Villa Royale is back and ready to put a smile in your face. We are really please with the outcome since a month and will push as much as possible. There's so many more in store for you so dont hesitate to visit us anytime you're coming back to our lovely island. Thanks again,

We had a fabulous lunch here with a friend. We met Bruno and his wonderful staff, Coco and Mary and Brunoâs son. We shared 3 appetizers. Guacamole with great chips, spring rolls and deep fried haddock balls. I had a wonderful poke bowl, hubby had tuna and our friend had a burger. The men had martinis and a glass of wine. Iâm boring, I had sparkling water. The restaurant looks wonderful with a turquoise and white color scheme-my favorite color. So happy to see Orient Beach coming alive again. Thanks, Bruno, for a delightful afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our last night in Saint Martin at Le Taitu. The fish fritters to start were simply prepared with a wonderful Creole dipping sauce and the owner rounded up the portion since two couples were sharing. Two of us enjoyed the Shrimp Persillade with large shrimp flambeed with anise liqueur in a garlic butter sauce. The shrimp in coconut milk and mahi mahi special were both excellent and everything was served with a lovely seasoned rice pilaf and a few vegetables. Wine selection was nice and well priced. This was a hidden gem really. Thank you for your review;Hope to see you again, on your next trip.*JEAN

We have been visiting Leandra and Zellman(the bartender and Leandraâs son for years. After Irma, she set up a kitchen in a container and got to work. Formerly, her menu was five or six pages long, but now it is just six or seven items. However, the few items that remain are done with great care and love, and the taste is absolutely wonderful. When we go to the beach, a visit to Chez Leandra is a must!
