We sailed in on a cruise and were just looking for authentic cuisine. He surpassed that and then some! He was more than friendly and had more to offer than just food. He has the most amazing BBQ banana sauce that is to die for! His kick as sauce and calamari with curry mayo is amazing !!!!!! He also offers beach chairs with drinks at a low price and works with other locals for discounts with jet skis and such! I had oxtails with plantain and rice and peas my husband had the jerk chicken philly ! Amazing cannot say again! Best food for first time visiting St. Maarten !!! Thank you

Went for lunch twice while staying at The Esmeralda. Recommend their pizza. Thin crust, generous toppings. Beach is beautiful.

On Thursday this is the hang out spot with live latin music. Be aware that everything on the menu is expensive. A coke is â¬3,50 a hamburger is â¬16 and the mixed drinks double that price. I do not recommend cocktails. They taste like kool aid and the decoration on the glass is not cleaned properly.

stumbled over illegal burger while actually looking for another restaurant. burgers are named after famous crooks, mafiosi etc, nothing revolutionary in terms of ingredients or taste, though. Service was was friendly and attentive, however, he forgot half of the changes we made to our order and seemed a little overwhelmed. To be honest, we never considered returning to Illegal Burger, even though they offer gluten free options that can be hard to find on the island.

We stayed at the Grand Case Beach Club and had breakfast, lunch and dinner experiences during our stay. The staff was helpful and attentive. Food was reliable and good. There are better options for French food but you shouldnât be disappointed here. As a family of 5 we tried most things. I recommend the specials on the board. The fried shrimp and tuna tataki stood out to me. Burgers were good. Breakfast in general was too. Very casual. Great view of the ocean over a cup of coffee or an evening cocktail.
