This is a fun restaurants to eat at. Authentic Mexican food. Your view is of the golf course and living in a small area like we do, it is not uncommon to see wild turkeys or elk on the course while you sit on the deck.

I thought the only kind of coffee that I would have been able to find in St. Maries would have been black. I was very surprised to find this little gem making delicious coffee early on Sunday morning. The fudge looked so tempting that I just had to buy some, and it is delectable. The shop has been open for years, yet the word hasn't gotten out on this one. I will definitely stop here the next time I can make it to St. Maries.

A little tough to find. Tucked in to a old shopping mall across from City Park. Food was definitely homemade with unique touches. Dessert was terrific!

The service was fast and friendly, but more importantly the pizza was fantastic! We had a meat and veggie combination , I think it was called the lumberjack. The traditional crust was crisp and had the right amount of chewiness. The toppings generous and high quality . It hit the spot, and if we lived closer this would be a favorite place to frequent. Only downside, they charged a $1.00 more if using a credit card.

We were in town for a wedding and stopped by Handi Corner the day after for breakfast. We were a large group, 12 of us and a baby, but the waitress who served our group treated us like old friends. Very friendly customer service.
The meat lover's skillet hit the spot; sausage, eggs, bacon, crispy hash browns, and toast. You can order breakfast anytime, which is awesome. And the hot cocoa was rich and chocolately, complete with whipped cream and sprinkles. Yum!
The cafe itself has a very down to earth atmosphere with simple decor. Enjoyed the old logging photos on the walls, the friendly locals, and hearty food.

We ate lunch at the Grub Box two days ago. It is a nice small-town cafe with a really nice look, a large group room, and a couple of cozy two-person alcoves in addition to the regular cafe tables. I had very good vibes about this place.
I thought the menu was well thought out, and I was impressed with the variety of choices for those who want a good, filling meal. I had the Hamburger Dip on rye bread . . . they also have gluten-free bread. This was the tastiest burger I have eaten in a long, long time. I took half of the burger home, and they even gave me a little styrofoam carryout dish for the 'au jus' dip - a first for me.
The owner and wait staff were efficient and very friendly. (The owner called me hon', and that tells its own story). I would eat a meal at the Grub Box anytime in a heartbeat. Sadly, it is situated perhaps 50-60 miles from my home base in Moscow.
The Grub Box is located in St. Maries, Idaho, two blocks north of the main street on 8th Street in a small shopping mall.

The burgers, fries (love their fry sauce), and shakes are TASTY. They are pretty quick to get things made and back out to you. Their dining area is clean and has a tv and the people that work there are nice and patient when you are deciding what you want to have. Once or twice out of the dozen or more times that I have gone, they forgot a "no mustard" request when I had gone through the drive thru, but other than that it has been a good experience.

We stopped here on the way through. Huge portions, friendly service and lots of options. The Drifter Burger was life size and filled with large strips of bacon. Order at least a cup of their green chili, it's really good. I would certainly come here again. Thanks!

Admittedly we only stopped here for a coffee and a tea and a little snack but feel the place was quite nice. Decent offering of local cafe tue stuff. Friendly service and fair prices.

This is an old drive in. We pulled up close to the front window on our motorcycles. We were greeted happily by the lady behind the window. We ordered 3 tacos, she suggested their homemade shells, great choice and two taco salads, one with meat one with beans. The salads were large and very good. Tacos were great. It was cheap food that tasted fantastic . She brought out our food to a table outside and was very friendly. This was one of those surprised great finds. It looks like someplace you would not normally stop at. Glad we did.
