Stopped in today to eat brunch. Went up to the check in counter. A female employee in a light blue shirt came up. I gave her our name and number in the party. I then asked approximately how long the wait would be. A fairly common question to ask. She turned her back to me, walked away and said "I don't know". That is simply atrocious customer service. Since they weren't interested in our business, we left. I think management needs to talk with their staff. That is no way to talk to customers.

We visited The Daily Bread for the first time over the weekend around noon on Saturday. It was busy and there was a line, but ordering moved along at a good pace. This place is wonderful and the smell of that baked bread, cookies, and everything else is great! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and Cesar salad, and had a St. Patrickâs day iced clover cookie. Good stuff! Weâll be back again next time Iâm in town. Thanks for stopping by over the weekend, Joe! I am glad to hear you had a great experience with us and really enjoyed the food and baked goods you ordered from us. I hope to see you again the next time you are in the area. We had a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast at this location outside of St. Louis thanks to our experienced and gracious server, Mrs. Sanders. Not being familiar with the menu, she walked us through it and made suggestions including the fact that we could share the Trifecta selection since the pancakes are so large (1 was definitely plenty to split and even better served with warm syrup) and suggested to add a side of the breakfast potatoes to the 2 eggs and the crispy bacon. I tried one of the nutritious fresh juicesâthe Morning Meditationâ which was delicious, and what I thought was a good value at $3.99, considering it had juice from fresh beets, orange, and lemons, and also turmeric, ginger and agave nectarâand it looked more like a fancy cocktail than a breakfast drink! A shared breakfast with coffee and juice was plenty to keep us full on our 5 hour drive back to Kentucky. On a side note, the cashier was so friendly, when he saw we only purchased one meal, he thought for sure one of us would be hungry, he gave us one of the salted caramel cookies that was most appreciated on the long drive home!! Overall a wonderful experience.
