Edibles & Essentials Is A Small Artisan Market And Café Located In The St. Louis Hills Neighborhood On Hampton Ave Between Eichelberger And Holly Hills.
I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu changes frequently and is always creative, fresh and thoughtful. Most recently I tried breakfast. The quiche melted in my mouth. I wanted to lick the plate after we finished the tartine. I've also tried pasta dishes, salads, fries, and other sandwiches. Everything has been fantastic! Small bar with wine, beer and specialty cocktails. The owner/chef is always there and very friendly and helpful. Live music on the patio is a nice bonus a few days a week. I always buy a couple of the macarons for later.

I really enjoyed having nightcaps with my friends at this place. You definitely feel like you're in a German pub or timber lodge or Masonic gathering or something. The couches are old and rustic, as well as the tables and the setting. The walls are adorned with "olde" stuff. It's my kind of place! The people there seem to be mostly of the more chilled out persuasion. Bartenders seem pretty chill and friendly. I had a cocktail that I think was called Aztec Gold, which was basically like a dessert drink, very tasty. Perfect end to the night! For a brief period of time, there was a live pianist and bassist playing some jazzy tones. A wee bit pricey if you're just getting basic drinks.. so go for an interesting cocktail or unique brew.

Firehouse was this week's Thursday lunch choice. Since it was our first visit, the TA reviews lead us to believe it would be a good one. We came away with some positives but several negatives too. The positives included the service from Jessica/ J-Hay, French Onion soup my Father-in-law ordered for $4.99, great fries and the overall atmosphere/interior area. The negatives were the overly spiced batter on their big platter of o'rings. Their "heat" together with side dish of hot wing sauce they are served with caused us all to leave several behind. They cost $6.99. Just too hot for our taste. My wife and I split a French dip sandwich that comes with those great fries. It was not on French bread and the roast beef was dry, grainy/chewy and reminded me of "Steakums" meat out of the freezer section. Their coffee unfortunately was served luke warm on this cold day. Not sure if we'll be back, since we felt negatives outweigh positives.

Sure, they have stuff like bacon jam and other somewhat unusual things on the menu. Good! Shake up that usual boring restaurant fare in South County. But underneath there are solid, juicy burgers and other meat done exactly right, and the covering flavors just enhance their taste on the tongue. That bacon jam hamburger with gruyere cheese was delish! The decor is warm and comfortable, with good spacing between tables so you arenât jammed in. The wait staff were very friendly, without being overbearing. The only caveat I would make are the cookies given to the children. A chocolate chip cookie is attractively displayed on a plate with chocolate sauce drizzled over it and onto the plate in a design. And thereâs the problem. The sauce is runny and little fingers are immediately chocolate coveredâas is the tablecloth, clothing, and the entire face of the child. If you must serve a designer cookie, make the chocolate a quick drying icing, or better yet, leave off the chocolate altogether and put the cookie on a cute napkin.

Welcome to Social Bar & Grill! We are a family friendly restaurant with over 25 flat screens, delicious made-from-scratch recipes and a late night menu from 10pm-midnight. We also offer a full catering menu and delivery for Lunch orders over $200. Come in
It was a cute little place, just off the interstate. Great place to meet friends. Unfortunately service was slow and our order was scrambled. We got zucchini sticks instead of fried pickles, our pizza took about an hour, and one drink arrived with our bill. After all our troubles, the bill was a little higher than expected but we took our lumps and decided this may not be the cute place it appeared.

Visited Syberg's on Gravois for the first time. Great service & atmosphere, our server Beth was a delight. Enjoyed a few cold beers (not a huge selection to choose from), the Sesame Chicken Strips (Jim Beam Bourbon glaze), homemade onion rings, and the Trashed Wings!! All 3 very good! The Trashed Wings especially good. Definitely recommended!

Schottzie's has been in the same spot off lindbergh for as long as I can remember. Either you know about it...or you don't. Iâm no longer much of a drinker, but when I was, we would stop in here late at night or after mid-night to keep the party going. A perfect place where nobody knows your name or cares for that matter. Let's talk about the place...first off it's a single room bar and grill..you could get it mixed up with a sports bar but that is because of the tvâs in the room which mostly have st. louis sports programs on them... great for after work dinner, drinking, happy hour hangout, watch the game etc etc. Parking is simple and you may park anywhere front back or side. I donât advise taking a first-time date here as it is not intimate or private. Seating is family style with access to tvâs which is perfect to enjoy a Cardinal or Blues game. The food is amazing especially the st. louis style pizza with signature provel cheese. They do also offer a new york style pizza, but I havenât tried yet. Let me go on and on about this pizza...first the crust...thin square cut crispy with stone oven flavor. The sauce is a thick almost pasty zesty tomato base which I frequently request extra sauce. Thick cut vegetables and meats covered in smooth provel cheese are a feature of this well crafted pizza. IMO this is perhaps the finest thin crust pizza in St. Louis. The bartenders and wait staff are nice although they are all business if you want foo foo smiles then I suggest going to Panera bread for a pleasant panini and dr. pepper instead. My favorite pizza is the Schottzie deluxe.made for the serious appetite. Although it is considered a sin to not eat the entire pizza the wait staff will be happy to get you a take-home box. They also have a vegetarian pizza which sports cauliflower and broccoli as well as the other usual veggies. I will give you a caution. Donât try to complicate your pizza order too much. They like simple. If you want complicated drive to burger king and get a whopper without bun seeds.

Family members, who had been to QSB b4, highly recommended it. We agreed to join them and are so very glad we did.I had the Daily Hog Plate, which was six ribs with potato salad and slaw sides for $18. Worth every penny, however it was not served with any bbq sauce. I asked our server for some and eventually after eating 3 of the 6 received a small crucible of a sauce that was different but good. They did let me sub beets for the potato salad with no up charge, which was nice. They were some of the best beets I've had and like to think I know my pickled beets. My wife had the Pit roast beef sandwich for $10 and liked it. My Father in law could not eat all of his Meat Loaf that he goes here to get, so I managed to woof it down. I agree with him that it is the best around. We finished with the touted bread pudding and were well pleased. Matt, the chef, came to our table twice and enjoyed knowing we loved his creations. Nice touch for him to do it.Please know I was very close to rating this excellent and will now be back again and again and referring QSB to others like you.

This burger joint is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. They have two sides for seating. One with a bar that looked packed and then the side that we sat in that was a big open space. There are tvâs so you can watch sports. If you go on a Monday night (which we did) burgers are buy one get $5 off a second one. Staff was friendly and our server Kristen J. was nice and very attentive.
