I met a friend here for lunch as neither of us had tried Soup Dumplings before. We ordered the Chicken, and then the Crab and Pork dumplings.First they bring you the soup, or broth to eat, then followed by the dumplings. We shared the dumplings, so I got to try both and I liked both. The Crab and Pork one's were not over powered by the crab flavour and they are surprisingly filling. The only thing on the menu is Soup dumplings of different flavours, so don't come if you don't want dumplings. The reason I only gave it average is because of the limited menu and I have nothing to compare it too as this was my first time trying soup dumplings.

Not much has changed at this average small chinese storefront restaurant, in the Oriental section of University City.Shu Feng used to be a favorite, go to...but there are a number of high quality family owned restaurants within blocks. The Shu Feng "special" beef, was not special it was tough and salty. The Hot and Sour soup was a new definition of mediocre.Service would have been better if the entree's would not have been served seconds after the appetizers. Given the average nature of the starters, skip them. Our host made the reservation, telling Shu Feng that it was a birthday celebration. Shu Feng blew that off...Even the sandwich shops have enough sense to recognize special events
We were concerned because the building is just old and things were run down, however the food was really pretty good. The Rangoon, Potstickers and dishes like peanut chicken, soups and basics like broccoli beef, General Tsao and Japanese chicken were all really good. The steam tables kept everything super hot and they were good to quickly refresh the foods.

The restaurant is kinda hidden behind a strip mall. Nothing fancy. Service is quick. Food is excellent. The waitress gave out the bills way too early but I guess it's their style. It can be misunderstood that it's quite rude. The bowls they handed out were not clean. However, their delicious food really made us keep returning while we were in town during a quick trip. Overall, maybe a 4stars due to some negatives above. However, the food alone is a solid 5 stars.

What a great selection of choices, whether on the dim sum menu or the full meal selection. We enjoyed scallion pancakes, fried shrimp/chive cakes, and steamed BBQ buns. We also chose Mongolian beef and mu shu pork. The portions are generous and service was prompt.Enjoy!

We arrived fairly early and were the only ones there for a while. We were served quickly and professionally, but they could smile a little more, or actually, at all. We enjoyed wonderful dumplings and shared a hot and sour soup - both were great. We then shared the Peking Duck which was extraordinary. Very nicely done. The atmosphere is a little aged and lacking and would to see a smile once in a while, but otherwise it was great.

After reading reviews, we were excited to try this place after a really busy day. We made the trek to the restaurant and were greeted at the door (45 minutes before posted closing) by a not so friendly woman telling us that the restaurant was closed because they were out of rice. A Chinese restaurant out of rice? Anyway, she was so unfriendly and unwelcoming, we were wondering if it was more discriminatory rather than a missing staple. Found the Taiwanese restaurant a few blocks from there and fell in love with their delicious cuisine.

Not our favorite Chinese but not the worst in the area. The egg drop soup is good, the egg rolls are greasey. Still overly soy sauced, little differentiation between dishes. Average--the type of thing your office orders for lunch because it's cheap and delivers.

My husband and I love coming here on Sunday for dim sum. On weekends they have the traditional trolleys that are wheeled are around with all types of dumplings, rice, noodles, and dessert items but you can also order off the menu. My husband and I often order the Chinese broccoli as an acompliment to the dumplings but we also love their roast pork. The dumplings are larger than the traditional I get in Beijing but flavorful and yummy. Thereâs always plenty to take home for snacks. Donât miss out be brave and try the chicken feet.

The restaurant is in dire need of a facelift, it looks old and tired. Everything looks like it did in the 70's and is the cliche of the "Chinese Restaurant."Portions are not big, and prices are not out of the ordinary. An average mediocre chinese restaurant
