Enjoy our "Southern Roadhouse Hospitality" in our St. Louis Restaurant along with the food and music that we have selected from this section of Highway 61. Whether it's the great seafood and spicy Cajun foods along with Jazz and Zydeco from Louisiana, the
I took my wife and 8 year old to eat a Mother's Day brunch here. The brunch was buffet style and had scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, cheesy hashbrowns, grits (cajun and cheese) and a few other breakfast items. Also on the buffet was catfish, smoked fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, rib tips, pulled pork, and a few other items. The food was VERY good. I was impressed. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I didn't care much for the catfish and my cheesy hash browns were not great but the rest of the food was VERY VERY good. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful and probably my favorite. I wanted to have a second helping of breakfast because it was sooo good but I also wanted the lunch items too. You can also order omelettes and pancakes to order. The wife had a pancake and she said it was fantastic. There's a dessert bar as well but I didn't have any room for that ! I also noticed there was a bloody Mary bar. I think that was an extra $4 or so. This place has live music on the weekends so we'll be back for that. I would highly recommend Highway 61 Roadhouse and kitchen ESPECIALLY for brunch which it appears they have every Sunday. Thanks for bringing your family in on Mother's Day! And yes, we have our all you can eat brunch every Sunday. We look forward to having you back to enjoy our live music on the weekends.

Generally, Iâm not one for two-star reviews. Mostly because I try to choose wisely and do not have many experience warranting a so few stars. This was an exception. The food is simply too bad not to say something. I ordered a chicken and broccoli dish that came out with some type of congealed lemon sauce smothering itâsouthern biscuits and gravy smothered. The broccoli was cold and the mushrooms uncooked. Really. Not cooked at all. Another person at my table received a charred burger. The salad was a bowl of lettuce with one tomato wedge (which was the best part of the meal) and 1/2 a cup of shredded cheese on top.Although we were not there for the bar, it did look like they had a good selection of beer on tap. Our server was nice. And, the patio was nice. These features bumped the review from terrible to poor.

Depending on your mood you can choose to sit at the bar, in the restaurant area, or on the patio. A variety of food is offered on the menu along with daily specials. The service is outstanding.

We dined outside on a Sunday evening. Weather was great, music relaxing, drinks cold, wait staff right on top of keeping our water and drinks full. Dined during STLburgerweek. Their specialty burger was really good. Crunchy bun and great taste. We ordered two appetizers. artichoke and cheese dip and fries. They were busy and yet always there for everything we needed. Will definitely be back soon. Sunday happy hour all day!

Located in downtown Maplewood we are a fun, casual restaurant and bar featuring Cuban/Creole/Caribbean cuisine served both as Tapas and Large Plates. We have a fun, eclectic aesthetic with alligator skin wall paper, murals, beautiful mirrors and chandelie
The atmosphere was awesome! I didn't care for any of the food. Too much sauce on eveeything I ordered. The salt was astronomical in every dish I tried. I would recommed more flavor less fillers. Herbs are a great way to cut salt without compromising on taste. I had shrimp with a dangerously hard sweet potato biscuit, the ribs( leave the ribs to the bbq shacks of STL) & a steak taco I believe and it was drowned in sauce and you the steak was still dry! It was very disappointing but the service was excellent. I'd consider trying other dishes based on the service alone.

We specialize in Wood Fired Pizza, slow smoked BBQ and offer a wonderful selection of local craft beer on tap.
A salmon dinner a few weeks ago was excellent, with the salmon cooked just right and an interesting side. So the Chef's Choice pizza this week sounded fine: Flyin' Hawaiian, with pineapple and prosciutto. What could go wrong?First, it took forever. Usually pizzas are out within minutes. At least I'd ordered a half salad - the vinaigrette listed wasn't exactly what arrived, but okay - and it was nearly finished when the pizza arrived, covered with melted mozzarella to the point of overkill. You couldn't see what was underneath. Its pineapple tasted good - but this chunk of pork? Surely not prosciutto - maybe leftover pork loin? There was absolutely no prosciutto in the whole pizza, just ¼'thick pieces of chewy meat. When I asked the server, she came back to say that "the chef says that that is our prosciutto."Weird. Fluid definition, obviously. (And the offer to make another wasn't a choice - who wants another of the same?)I was also unexpectedly disappointed in the beer offerings. Usually there are 6-7 outstanding local beers among the draft choices, always some good seasonals. No, not this visit.. Nothing special. They offered the usual big brewery choices, just on draft. What fun is that?So it's as though something happened and the TwinOak we enjoyed a few weeks ago disappeared, and a lesser-quality option was put in its place. All I can say is that the salad was fresh and that a half-order is more than sufficient. Which isn't the point of visiting a place like TwinOaks....Thank you for providing us feedback about your experience. Customer feedback is very important to us and we are sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations. We strive to make sure every customer leaves happy and satisfied with our services. Thank you for your time and we hope to see you again soon so we can provide you with a five-star experience!

We love Greek food and eat it often in a lot of different areas and restaurants. Michael's has outstanding pastitsio, dolmades, spinach pie, chicken kebobs, and Greek salad. We use to head to this area to eat pasta on The Hill.....Michael's is a much better alternative to those places!

All enjoyed their meals, except me. The steak was full of fat & gristle. Others had steak & were pleased. Salads good, the manhattan smooth, worth coming back.Sound level quite acceptable. No background music playing.Very good service. Will return again for a steak revisit.

If you're looking for a great brewery tour, this is it! Its the most informative tour I've ever been on and entertaining. I went to it following Anheuser's and if you are looking to pick one or the other, I'd definitely do Schafly's. Their beer was on point and can't forget about their great food too! I'd get a flight so you can try a bunch! So if you're looking for a great afternoon out, seriously could not go wronget here.

I really enjoyed having nightcaps with my friends at this place. You definitely feel like you're in a German pub or timber lodge or Masonic gathering or something. The couches are old and rustic, as well as the tables and the setting. The walls are adorned with "olde" stuff. It's my kind of place! The people there seem to be mostly of the more chilled out persuasion. Bartenders seem pretty chill and friendly. I had a cocktail that I think was called Aztec Gold, which was basically like a dessert drink, very tasty. Perfect end to the night! For a brief period of time, there was a live pianist and bassist playing some jazzy tones. A wee bit pricey if you're just getting basic drinks.. so go for an interesting cocktail or unique brew.
