Guiyave is located in a Historic French Family owned Building in the Heart of Roseau. The Restaurant located on the first floor houses the Restaurant which is opened daily Monday-Friday for Breakfast & Buffet Style Lunch Service and Local One Pots on Satu
Located in the heart of Roseau, is this very local, quaint option for a local-styled lunch. After entering from the street, you walk up to the 2nd story where there are a few tables both indoors and out. The outside is a terrace with views of the street and fans blowing to keep it cool and comfortable. Lunch consists of a soup and salad if you wish to start with this. Entrees are rice, vegetables and two protein dishes, on our visit chicken and ribs. The ribs were deliciously seasoned. Overall the food was good. Not sure if they serve alcohol, as we didn't have any and there is no apparent bar or menu. Several homemade desserts were on display and presumably an extra charge if ordered. The lunch buffet was USD $20. There were several locals eating in addition to us. If you need help or service, everyone was very friendly and happy to have us there.

The LOFT is the only full menu Seafood Restaurant in Dominica located right on the water and just a 5 minutes walk south of the main cruise ship port in Roseau. Join us for lunch and/or dinner and ask what fresh came off the boat. Mega Bite, the Deep Sea
We had lunch here and we will be back this week for dinner. They have the menu on a chalk board with a variety of local flavoured dishes. Both our dishes were delicious. We were seated outside in the shade of some trees with a view on the bay and the beach. Caribbean style deluxe. They also serve an exellent espresso. This is a place to remember.

We enjoyed a great dinner, after an attempted hike to Boiling lake. ( had to turn around ,due to a heavy rain storm). I would recommend the goat. It is cooked in a curry sauce, and very tender. Comes with plenty of sides, so come hungry. If your feeling adventurous ask for a bush rum from behind the bar. Use the chaser!

It was a day with no cruise ship in Roseau, so this place was almost empty at lunch time. The waitress informed us that there is ony one dish available: Chicken, Vegetables and Rice. It was fine with us. 30 minutes later the waitress passed by again, telling us that it would take 20-30 minutes for the dish to be ready. This was too much for us, so we paid for the drinks and left to 'Le Petit Paris', where we were served almost immediately. While waiting at the Ruins, in a building that from the outside really appears as a ruin, we had fun looking at details of this original place. There are wooden tables with benches under a tin-iron roof and all kind of funny decors, like animal skulls and flags, even one of the old Soviet Union. The drink I had was new to me: 'Desperados Red', a red-coloured beer from Heineken, bottled in St.Lucia, with Tequila, Cachaça and Guarana flavour. 5,9% and not too bad.

You can have better food and drinks elswhere for less.We asked for wine from the winelist, but they had none of the wines mentioned in the list. They had two other, one red and one white from a discount producer. No good wine and they still charged ecd 60+Then we asked for beer. Here was the nearly the same problem, but we got another one.The waitress thinks that her job is to play with her smartphone and play loud disco music. I would expect it was to serve customers. The food is ok, but expensive for what it is.So if you are looking for a place to eat where they are playing so loud music so you cannât hear what is said, when you talk together. If you are looking for a place with no service. And if you are looking for a place where you cannât get a decent wine and your are willing to pay overprice - then you have found it.I had read all the good reviews, thatâs ehy we went there, but the must be out of date.Thank you for your review. Please allow me to clear up a few in accurate points about your comments. While we did not have the wine Trevento brand thst you wanted. Berenger is considered a good replacement. Fridays is our soca night and it was the opening of Carnival. We lowered the music but even tho others customers were enjoying the atmosphere u insisted on us changing the music. The waitress Natalia apologised and explained that to you..At Kozy's Niche we go the extra mile to guarantee excellent customer service and we are indeed sorry that the music and wine selection spoilt your dining experience with us.
