We have been here a few times now. The cafe is right next to the Dom, and it's great to sit outside with a drink or a meal and look at the church and watch the people walk by. They have a great salad that comes with sesame crusted feta cheese. Yum!

The Landgasthof Paulus & Der Laden, a carefully renovated farmhouse situated in the northern part of Saarland next to the entrance of the Hunsrueck-Hochwald National Park, is a place where you can truly relax and let your cares drift away - be it on our s
We were invited to a baptism. It was both very nice and very professional. The food was presented family style on big trays. The salads were tasty. The meat was really exceptional, veal so tender you could cut it with a spoon. Some deserts were mouth watering, the others only good though. But this is the only criticism I have. The wines were all very good. There were loads of children and they could run in the court as there was no one sitting there, it was too cold.

Established in 1620 this place has lasted for a reason. Staff was attentive, polite and the food was quick to come out. Had the zum ochsen menu which was a nice beef soup, followed by a salad then melt I'm your mouth beef in a horseradish cream sauce. All for 14,50. The prices was right on for the quality of quantity of food. Enjoyed my lunch! No reason why this place won't be around 400 years.

We arrived with our 2 year old and the restaurant was super friendly and accomodating. The food was delicious, and compared to many restaurants, they actually had healthy options on the kids menu which was fantastic. Would love to go back.

This is a huge restaurant for a pretty small town center with loads of outdoor seating and a good size interior on two floors. This makes it great for family outings and group or club get-togethers.Service is pretty fast although interactions are kept to the minimal. All over this area of Germany you will find many, many, many pizza and salad restaurants with a bar and a few entrees on the menu. Most of these leave off where Manin begins...The pizza here is made fresh with a few different combinations of toppings not pages and pagesand remember; made fresh.Salads here come with a twist; anyone can cut or chop raw veggies and throw them in a bowl but here they are cut and then lightly roasted to add depth of flavor to otherwise common fare. I had a fish salad which featured a nice salmon fillet and I chose the mango dressing which was very refreshing and a lovely departure from the same tired yogurt based dressing so many places serve. The portion was filling but not overly so. My companion had Angus beef and when asked ordered it "medium" and it was served rare, perhaps the only misstep in the meal. Bread is served in a small white draw-string bag in a woven basket with a small plate of olive oil, shaved parmesan and fresh ground black pepper which was a very welcome surprise. ( The bag could be dispensed with as it was a bit annoying to open and I imagine it will be extra labor to keep them spotless.) Along with the usual area beers they also feature a black beer on tap which is very good despite being a bit light on hops and slightly sweet to the taste.Unlike other places, Manin also serves breakfast and turns out decent waffles that are close to what you would find in Belgium if you order them with chocolate sauce, ice cream or fruit and whipped cream.

Noticed there has not been an English review for sometime at Cafe Journal so thought I would write one after visiting for dinner on 2 consecutive days. In good weather the place is usually busy outside. Note that table booking can only be had inside the restaurant, outside itâs first come, first served. We visited as a 4 the first day. 3 had small pizzas and I had a simple weinen schnitzle with Fries. The fries were great but the schnitzel had been sitting a bit before being served which made it a bit soggy. It also arrived 10 mins before the pizzas which was a bit pointless. Pizzas were lacking in toppings but were otherwise ok.Second visit was as a couple. Another pizza but a large one this time. Much better this time with a generous topping. Also had a baguette which was very good. Service both days was slick and attentive.

Gourmetrestaurant
Never expected to find the restaurant with such good kitchen in a small village. The chef Olaf prepared fantastic menu and his wife Kristiana was helping him everywhere. Nice family run restaurant, cozy atmosphere but the main thing the quality and taste of meals.Thank you !

Nice location overviewing the Bostalsee.Inside nothing too fancy, but clean and spacious. Staff is friendly. The food is traditionally German. We've had better but a schnitzel is hard mess up. Don't expect too much, but if you're in for an easy cheap meal, this place will easily do.
