This restaurant has been renovated - nicer and brighter. It retained the Japanese menu, alas, the food did not match. I think the owners have changed and it's not very authentic Japanese anymore.Disappointing in terms of taste... a bowl of noodle is between $15 - $20 if you upsize to include salad and gyoza / takoyaki.

We love eating at Ichiraku at Eastwood. A simple non pretentious casual dine-in with good lunch set menu offerring. Their bento set lunches come free miso soup. Today we ordered karaage chicken, teriyaki salmon and salmon sashimi set lunches. As usual the food tasted great and it's relatively good value compared to most other casual dine-in that offers the same. Their lunch time session gets filled up quite early. The interior of the restaurant is slightly dim and smartly decorated. Their service is relatively good unless they're very busy. They also have a loyalty card program where on the 10th visit you can get a free shoyu ramen.
Located in Eastwood next to the Vietnamese bakery and fruit shop. Very nice, fresh sushi, reasonably priced and affordable. Have a wide selection of sushi and sashimi on the conveyor belt. Service is quick and efficient, the girls are pleasant. Iâve never had a rude wait staff here. Offers hot Japanese rice meals and noodles. The cold drinks are always served chilled. Very busy and popular with the locals during summer months.

I had driven past this restaurant on many occasions, but finally decided to go and have a meal there last weekend. The host greeted us with a smile a friendly attitude, we received great service, the food was relatively quick in coming to the table and it was all so delicious. The salmon salad was so good, and in fact we could not fault the meal. Try the Japanese beer on tap its pretty good and goes well with the meal. We got in early and there were people coming and going the entire time we were there, so a busy little restaurant. Good atmosphere, great service and excellent food and what we felt was pretty good value. We will go back again!!!
The staff at Sakae were absolutely wonderful - so friendly, helpful and attentive without being too much. The restaurant has a traditional Japanese style and the booths are somewhat private which is nice. The food was great. We have the standard buffet, which had great variety and was tasty. I good choice and I would definitely go back again!

Ate here yesterday in between business meetings. I ordered the Bento special,$16.80 and it was fantastic. Very fresh and the food kept coming. I work in the city so was pleased not to be paying $30 for the equivalent meal in town. Looking forward to returning in a few months.

We were taken here for lunch by a friend and loved the food. The bento box special is excellent value and has lots of variety. Was busy for lunch during the week but service is excellent. We hope to return soon.

Really fresh fish. The salmon belly and kingfish belly are amazing! They are very large, which explains the high price tag
