I can honestly say this restaurant is excellent. The owner always remembers what you have to drink and what your favourite dish on the menu is too. He is also more than willing to make recommendations when requested if you fancy something different for a change.
This isn't the cheapest place in Rugby but is definitely worth the price as everything is so fresh and delicately flavoured, Especially the floating market soup, holy prawn and glass noodles.
The presentation is also excellent and although I've never been to Thailand myself, friends of ours who have dined with us there have travelled through Thailand and said how authentic the food is.
I don't think this place gets the trade it deserves being on one of the backstreets opposite the theatre - please try it, you won't be disappointed.

We have been visting the Sarah Mansfield for food every couple of weeks for the past few years - despite living around 15 miles away. The staff are friendly, the food is very good quality and excellent value for money - especially the mixed grill sizzler for around £10. I would also recommend the prawn and mozarrela starter, and the fajitas - these are definitely meals for garlic lovers though as they are loaded with it!

Established in 1993, La Casa Loco remains an independently owned restaurant and has earned a reputation for its authentic, high quality cuisine, warm and vibrant décor, lively atmosphere and friendly, well-trained staff.La Casa Loco means "The mad house" in Spanish and it's true - due to its unique atmosphere and fine, home cooked Mexican and Cajun food, La Casa Loco is incredibly popular with all ages - from couples to families; large celebrations to office parties. The restaurant and private dining room / meeting room can also be hired for private or corporate functions any weekday and all day / night on Sundays.
Visited for my husbands birthday with friends . Food was great value for money unfortunately our meals came out from the kitchen at different times so was a little disappointed . Drink orders were incomplete and had to remind staff twice that we were still waiting , a member of our party had their drink removed from the table when they had visited the bathroom even though it was not finished . Despite the little hiccups we had a great night and would definitely book again

I used to visit The Huntsman in the 1980’s, and was looking forward to returning. I wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant has expanded, the chairs are much more comfortable, there is more space for the diners and (sadly) there are sharp spotlights from the ceiling... Otherwise it’s a characteristic restaurant with atmosphere and pictures of hunting on the walls. I love the fact that there is still a private, very romantic little alcove for 2 people with some privacy.
We were helped by a young waiter. He was helpful, very polite, and discrete The more senior staff seemed to ignore us (didn’t say good bye or thanks when we left the restaurant). The senior staff would do well to teach the younger generation the art of waitering. The knife and fork for starters should, for example, be placed outside of the knife and fork for the main course, and not be put next to the bread knife. How to balance plates would also help them.
So, the food. As everyone has said, the meat is excellent. You come here for the quantity. So many other carvery’s skimp om the expensive meat Not here! Beef, pork, Turkey, smoked Turkey (yum), homemade sausage (delicious) and Yorkshire puds. Nothing to fault whatsoever. My plate was full at this time so not much room for veg or potato’s. That was a good choice - spuds were oily, veg was over cooked and soft. Lots of sauces and great gravy.
I jumped the gun — starters were ok (filling) but puddings were mass produced and manufactured in flavour. If that’s what you’re used it, you will really enjoy it. If you cook at home and are good at it, you might consider skipping the desert.
Was it worth it? Yes. Will I return? Yes, if hungry and fancy delicious succulent meat. Room for improvement but the meat really is the star. Look forward to my next visit.andrew

Multi-award winning, independent, charming and atmospheric French style restaurant, specialising in freshly prepared, (organic where possible) dishes, using locally supplied, and seasonal ingredients. Serving beautiful food, often French themed, but with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Open to dine from Monday to Saturday. Join us for amazing food, or pop in to our über glamorous cocktail bar (voted Best Bar in Rugby!) Friday and Saturday. Know widely, and awarded for, its exceptional hospitality and passionate, articulate and vivacious staff - Cafe Vin Cinq provides an outstanding dining experience, where the customers' needs are anticipated and we hope, exceeded.
You might be concerned that a visit to a favourite restaurant on Valentine's night could be disappointing. No such worries here as the excellent standard of service and cooking never falters. Another beautiful meal made the occasion really special. Well done the Café Vin Cinq team.

Fine dinning ,casual dinning and family friendly
This place is consistently excellent - always warm, welcoming and friendly, serving dishes you wish you could make at home but just can't. Having enjoyed the usual Tandoori Chicken Biryana for several years I decided to try something different last night and was not disappointed - my Tandoori Chicken Garlic Roshni Bhuna with smoke-flavour undertones was simply delicious. The other 2 of our trio thoroughly enjoyed their usual too - a Tandoori Chicken Balti and a Chicken Madras which were also particularly excellent. Not that any of our previous meals have been anything other than very, very good.
The chefs at the Essence of India cook consistently brilliant food and having tried a few other places over the years we can say that Muj and his team are SIMPLY THE BEST!
The staff here are real people, happy to engage in conversation and they always remember your name. There was a fabulously roaring log fire in the lounge area and a pool table in the bar area. It's unpretentious and not unlike dining with friends.
Simply fab and highly recommended!

Good old-fashioned British Pub serving the best traditional ales & ciders, continental beers, and delicious food. A must for any Rugby fan, this place is a mecca for locals looking to watch live matches. A fascinating pub with great locals, stacks of history, fantastic beer & food served by wonderful staff. What more could you ask for? - Oh and it's a stones-throw from where the game was invented!
Known for it's real ales, ciders & great atmosphere (can highly recommend as a drinking pub), I've only eaten here twice & doubt I'll risk it again. The first time I had fish & chips that looked over cooked (both the fish batter & chips were very dark) however the meal was still quite tasty. Last Sunday (21st January) a friend & I decided to opt for lunch - the starter (garlic mushrooms with ciabatta) was fabulous but the rib of beef roast was terrible. Why was it so bad ? - well the beef had been over cooked to the point of being dry, the bits that weren't dry were very chewy; the roast potatoes were dry & quite hard (I hate under cooked potatoes); the veg was so under cooked they were nearly raw. I like crisp veg but this was ridiculous.
I'd like to say we had good service but wasn't even asked if we wanted any condiments - the food was simply presented & then the waiting staff left. We found some cutlery but couldn't find mustard & horseradish. It was quite busy so rather than queue to ask the bar staff we just tucked in.
The only item on the plate, other than the gravy, that was enjoyable was the Yorkshire but even that was within a hairs breath of being burnt.
The reason I've given an average rather than poor score is that we ate quite late, it was almost 3pm. Maybe we were just unlucky & the meat had been left under heat for too long & they simply got the timing wrong with the veg, so will give them the benefit of the doubt however in hindsight I wish we had complained. Certainly if I had been paying I would but it's always more tricky when someone else is.

Family friendly pub/restaurant, home cooked food, award winning real ales, good selection of wines, & a extensive gin list!
Outstanding service received in both the planning and execution of my brothers wake recently held here. The simple planning process, quality of food, superb ambience of the lounge and excellent staff service made it all a less difficult occasion. Nice touch with white roses as table centre pieces - not requested but actioned by The Bell themselves.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL. Small, traditional, country pub, serving Real Ales, quality Pub Food, great steaks & home made pies. Beautiful beer garden and table skittles. Adults only on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening. Popular Thursday night fun quiz. Dogs welcome in the bar area. RESTAURANT OPEN WEDNESDAY TO SATURDAY EVENINGS & SUNDAY LUNCH
Just popped in from the canal. Quite a walk but well worth it for this delightful, country pub. Very traditional and very welcoming. Our dog too! A good range of beers, inc. this year's champion, Goats Milk from the Church End Brewery. Heaven for us. We only stayed for a pint and a snack but they were advertising some interesting snack: scotch egg. Pork pie, and a salmon and watercress tart. We had one each of the latter which were served on a board (really don't like this see my past reviews and John Finnemores song "Put it on a plate " on YouTube) but well served with a green salad and chopped gherkin with condiments. Just the ticket. Must go back for a full meal.

Visited as part of a large group for a birthday celebration. Enjoyed drinks in the friendly pub downstairs, lovely greeting by staff on arrival in restaurant and given menus promptly. Enjoyed our wine which was served soon after we ordered. Have been here several times and have never managed to deviate from my usual order of halloumi chips followed by rump steak as always enjoy this. I feel compelled to write as was part of the group of twelve subject to an adverse review below and I must say at our end of the table we enjoyed our food and evening and our waitress was helpful and friendly. Am very respectful of people’s difference of opinion and perception!
