This would have had five stars except for the lukewarm and mediocre breakfast. The room was a lovely and well appointed townhouse with ensuite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very quite despite its position overlooking what can be a very noisy Pantiles area and we had an excellent night’s sleep. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at this Premier Inn before and both occasions we have had a lovely stay. A fantastic welcome by Gavin on reception to did his best to move us so we had rooms closer together. Rooms were clean and welcoming with all the facilities we needed. A request for an iron and ironing board was dealt with immediately. Breakfast was relaxed and very good. Freshly cooked hot food for the cooked breakfast and a good choice on the continental breakfast. We will definitely visit this Premier Inn again.

This 18th century mansion is situated within 14 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds, just a short walk from the town centre. Facilities include 70 bedrooms, spa and leisure club, contemporary bar and award winning restaurant, ample free car parking and wifi. The Hotel has undergone significant, sympathetic refurbishment since it was purchased by the Scragg family in 2007 and is now the Hotel of choice in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Treated myself to an overnight stay for some r&r. Pre check in good communication and liked that you can check in online to save time on arrival. Hotel is really lovely, grounds lovely, room lovely(I had a cosy deluxe) . Settled in and headed to spa….have to say I was very underwhelmed, given the hotel name I thought this would be a main attraction! Very small and if you wanted to sit at the small pool there was only about 6 beds/chairs which were all damp or occupied. Reception staff at spa seemed very uninterested. I asked if it was self explanatory and was told”changing rooms left, spa right” No one said that I needed a £1 for lockers and couldn’t be bothered trailing back up to the 3rd floor to get one, Very, very basic facilities. So I was disappointed and only stayed there for about 30 mins as didn’t really enjoy sitting on beds that were wet from previous occupant. There was some noise in corridor into early hours, presumably from wedding guests, but that’s the guest being disrespectful rather than hotels fault. On a positive, room was lovely and although there was a wedding noise from outside / music was minimal. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, restaurant was empty in the evening and view onto grounds was lovely. Breakfast very good and got in there before all the wedding guests surfaced so again nice and quiet. All staff lovely in restaurant.

This was my second stay and this time the restaurant was open. The food wasn't great the fish and chips were OK, the steak was difficult to eat and would advise avoiding the sticky toffee pudding if you value your fillings. The room was small but clean. Bed was a little soft but the pillows quite uncomfortable. On the first night there was an intermittent sound which, could only be described as someone trying to batter a door down with a hammer somewhere down the corridor. This repeated half a dozen times between 11pm and midnight. I decided not to investigate. On the second night the same sound started again quite late but this time continued throughout the night and pretty much kept me awake all night. When I mentioned this during check out it was pretty much dismissed by the lady on the desk who noted it down but all but said I was making it up!

Bathroom had mould on the wall and was dirty, carpet had Staines all over it, paint peeling of walls, we got moved to another room but this was not that much better. Whole hotel is dated also charging £3.20 for a 330ml bottle of cheap water is an absolute joke!!!!!

Booked because my favourite hotel was full but was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent and very welcoming, the pool looked enticing (but opening hours were quite restricted so I didn’t ‘take the plunge’), breakfast was excellen, room was nice too. Ample parking also appreciated. Only point for improvement is the carpets which need (at least) a very thorough clean.

A boutique hotel in the historic heart of Tunbridge Wells
Perfect for a weekend catch up, the TW Hotel is located centrally on the Pantiles - great both for relaxing and people watching. The hotel’s breakfast menu offers a balanced, appetising selection with something for pretty much every diet. And its coffee is very good too. We had a warm welcome from the woman in charge and, overall, service was fine though the waiter’s audible sigh when I asked for extra milk wasn’t ideal. I appreciate venues are still recovering from a tough couple of years. But actually we all are; eating out still feels like a treat so it’s a shame if that’s let down by patchy customer service. A smile costs nothing!

With style and comfort coupled with convenience, this hotel set in the very centre of historic Tunbridge Wells is positioned on the edge of the rural common. The hotel was built as a residence in the Victorian era and became one of the town's leading hotels in the 1920s. Set on the edge of the Tunbridge Wells common, it is only 2 minutes stroll from the shops, restaurants, cafes and theatres.
I booked a room in the annex but after inspecting the room couldn't bring myself to stay there. It resembled a well used bed-sit and I have to say that it's the first time I couldn't bring myself to use a sofa or a bed in a hotel room. The room smelt a little stale so I opened the window but couldn't have left it open due to the noise of passers by. In the end I took my things back to the car and booked another room elsewhere. The booking was non-refundable so I lost my money but there was no way that I was going to sleep there. I was about to ask if they could find me another room but after seeing two chaps who looked like addicts sat 'smoking' outside reception in the hotels garden area convinced me not to bother.
