This nineteenth century country town hotel is perfectly located on the edge of the Northumberland National Park in the scenic and tranquil village of Rothbury. The Coquetvale Hotel is perfect for a relaxing break in the beautiful countryside or an ideal base for walking, cycling or outdoor pursuits. The stunning Cragside House and grounds are a five minute drive away as are the breathtaking Simonside Hills which are a popular spot for walkers with amazing scenery. Further afield lies the market town of Alnwick, home to the spectacular Alnwick Gardens and Castle, as well as the picturesque Northumberland coastline are a 20 minute drive over the scenic moors that surround Rothbury. The hotel was bought by experienced hoteliers in August 2016 and has since seen immediate investment into public areas and bedrooms.

The Queens Head was fully refurbished in April 2019. We offer a variety of smart en-suite rooms. We have a relaxed atmosphere, friendly bar and helpful staff. The attractive lounge/ restaurant has a comfortable ambience offering an area for informal dinning, catching up with friends over a coffee and a slice of cake or a drink around our lovely log burner. The Turk's Head was built in the sixteenth century as a coaching Inn. Centuries later, our stables have been renovated into en-suites rooms boasting charming, original features. The main building was restructured in 1874 and some of pour rooms offer truly impressive views over Coquetdale and Simonside. Our rates are based on B&B. Silverdale Farmhouse B&B is set in a peaceful location in a small hamlet nestled between the Cheviots and the Simonside hills. Situated in Snitter, just outside of Rothbury, Silverdale is a 200-year-old former farmhouse, once owned by Lord Armstrong as part of his Cragside Estate. Silverdale Farmhouse is on the edge of the Northumberland National Park and the Sandstone Way, plus other cycling and walking routes, ideally situated for Cragside House & Gardens, Alnwick Castle, Kielder Forest and the coastal areas of Bamburgh, Seahouses, Amble and the Farne Islands. Our family-run guesthouse offers very comfortable accommodation, fresh home cooked local produce and a friendly tranquil setting for business and pleasure. All rooms are generously sized and fitted to a high standard. Each room has en-suite bathroom, color TV, hair dryer, clock radio and amazing hospitality tray, and you may even get a taste of our special homemade chocolates.
