Wonderful staff made our stay great though it was cut short by the NSW metro snap lockdown. Despite having to sudden be confined to our hotel room the night and check out the next morning the manager organized a lovely arrangement of Pastry, hot breakfast and hot coffee was dropped in takeaway bag at our door instead of the buffet breakfast. Can't thank the staff enough for how they dealt with the lockdown.

We just had a great week at The Vintage in a one bedroom apartment. Quite comfortable and roomy. Does lack a pantry and storage space though. Driveway was narrow with hedges both sides so if you have a large car good luck. It was tight with a small car.We probably had the tightest driveway. Kitchen with 2 burner stove (one didnt work) and a convection oven/microwave. Across the road is the Golf Club with a happy hour at 5pm and both fine dining and casual dining options. A lovely spot and in walking distance if you both like to drink.. They are currently building a tavern which will be very close to the apartments. (Located next to the reception) We ate at some great fine dining restaurants like Esca, The Deck and Amandas on the Edge. Great casual dining at Oishi Thai and Japanese. Next door Goldfish had great atmosphere and 2 for 1 pizza the night we visited. Free wine tastings at Gartlemans, Pigs Peake and McGuigan Wines. Other wineries we tried included Audrey Wilkinson, Bimbadgen, Brokenwood, Pedersen House and Tintilla. At Tintilla we had a wine tasting and a cheese and olive plate for the bargain price of $15.Bimbadgen does wood fired pizza and on Friday night there is live music and happy hour wines for only $3.50 a glass. I really enjoyed their wines. Called into Hunter Valley Distillery and IronBark Hill Craft Brewery. Hunter Valley Gardens is well worth a visit We could easily have stayed longer and explored some more wineries and restaurants. It would be a great place to live on this estate during retirement. Note to cleaners: Due to lack of storage we stored some items above the cupboard in the kitchen. To my surprise it didnt appear to have been cleaned for years and was quite filthy.

My second time booking the Grand Mercure Accor Vacation Club Apartments. I was there on last weekend in November which was busy. This was very much a trip that took planning and shifting reservation dates a few times as rules for travel to Hunter kept changing. The team were great and patient on getting a date settled that finally worked. I was sent a personalised welcome letter in advance of stay and setting expectations well in advance. Check-in was quick and painless. I was able to check in early, get settled and relax. The team are very polite, welcoming, and professional. The room was spotless and no complaints. The team also accommodated a late check-out as well which was perfect so we could leave and head straight to our lunch reservation. I look forward to a future stay!

We spent a two night stay on the property, it is reasonably priced and the kitchen was well equipped however we definitely felt misled. On the website it showed the hermitage cottage had a fire place which was not borded up and looked very inviting to use, to our suprise we arrived at the hermitage and the fire place is completely borded up and unavailable for use, the cottage at night was freezing and the air conditioner only warmed the kitchen area. The carpeting on the floors in the lounge room and leading up to the bedroom have been so poorely done they look like floor mats, which move when you walk. We were given two pieces of firewood for 2 nights which wasn't sufficient for the firepit. The property doesn't seem very secure and neither were the locks on the door they were loose and you had to fiddle with them to lock them. If you are looking for a budget friendly trip with simple amenities, minimal security and warmth then this is your place to be. The best thing about this place was waking up and drinking coffee on the porch watching the kangaroos near by and being able to cook some home cooked meals.

Such a bad experience here which could have been a really fun time. Lenny was fantastic trying to help my daughter who was very nervous about riding a horse for the first time. We paid in advance nearly $600 for 6 people to try horseriding and when my 12 year old decided she was too nervous to actually do it I was told by a very rude Margaret that she would not provide a refund and it was too bad. She acted like my daughter had taken a spot of someone else that could have ridden but there was no one else waiting to ride at all. Such bad customer service and a very rude lady left that left us with a bad taste in our mouths. All the other staff were very nice.
