Reviewed By whiskas_10With our in-laws, my husband and I stayed at Posthotel Rotenburg a.d. Fulda from the 15th to the 18th August. We were on a tour by coach with Violetta Cars ( Belgium) - a well organised group with a careful driver and a good guide, both of whom also very polite and willing to help. The Hotel boasts of large, comfortable , spotlessly clean rooms with a balcony. Breakfast and dinner were so plentiful and varied that each person could easily find his or her tastes. As usual we were asked to help the environment by asking whether the room needed cleaning or not every single day. The second day we opted for the 'no need to clean' and in the evening we found,,, hanging on the door knob, 2 small boxes of Pralines! The personnel are more than willing to help when necessary and they made our stay a real pleasant one. We would certainly recommend this hotel. '

A nice nights stay
Reviewed By tarzangavWe arrived tired and hungry at the hotel at after 8:30 pm. My first thoughts were that the hotel was having their "Ruhetag" (restaurant day off) then where would we get anywhere to eat. The hotel is somewhat away from the town centre albeit in a residential area. The hotel thankfully had a celebration happening that night so while we could not see the menu, we could get a lovely steak and asparagus dinner washed down with a lovely bottle of wine. The owner was very hands on and wanted to ensure that we were ok. A friendly genuine man. The staff were attentive and friendly ensuring we were always ok. The room was basic but fine. Breakfast was excellent. No hot food apart from a boiled egg but with good cuts of meat and cheese among other foods. A downpoint is definitely the wifi which was very poor and constantly disconnects. In fairness the hotel helped print out our boarding passes. Apart from that I would go back again.

Reviewed By Tony JNice large but still cosy Hotel with good views , polite staff and good rooms. not so lucky that we arrived when the only food was a Buffet ! 3 restaurants but no a la carte? Very good service and well done to Mustafa , very attentive and professionel waiter.

A quiet peaceful stay
Reviewed By BSE-MadcowThe hotel is just under new management, our booking was honoured although made with the previous manager. We were met by Chris and Suzi and shown to our rooms. I say rooms as we had a choice of which one we preferred! The one chosen looked out over the front, was clean comfortable, warm and of a good size. Only bed and breakfast was available as the new landlords were just in the process of getting the place up and running. This did not worry us as we were visiting family locally and just used the hotel overnight. The breakfasts were lovely, with a good choice of food from the buffet. Rotenburg AD Fulda has a good Christmas market and range of other shops covering most needs. The hotel has only one disadvantage as far as I can see, it's location, just a bit too far to walk to town, but no problem at all if you have you own transport, or prepared to take taxi's. We would quite happily stay here again.

Gemütlicher Reiterhof in wunderschöner Landschaft
Reviewed By pudeldameaHabe gerade mit meiner Tochter, unseren Hunden und meinem Pferd zwei Wochen in einer Ferienwohnung auf Gut Dankrode verbracht. Die Wohnung war in Ausstattung und Möblierung recht altertümlich und ziemlich dunkel, entsprach also nicht unbedingt modernem Standard. Aber damit passt sie genau zu dem Dorf. Man hat den Eindruck, dass dort die Zeit vor 40 oder 50 Jahren stehen geblieben ist; ich fühlte mich an Bauernhofurlaube mit meinen Eltern in den späten 70er und frühen 80er Jahren erinnert; da war die Atmosphäre genauso. Kein Stress, keine Hektik, alles geruhsam. Was vor gut 40 Jahren einfach nur normal war, das empfand ich jetzt als höchst angenehme Entschleunigung und daher als Erholung pur. Für Tiere ist der Hof ein Paradies, sowohl die Hunde als auch meine Stute haben sich dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich konnte wunderbare Ausritte in die herrliche Landschaft unternehmen, und der Reitunterricht war ebenfalls sehr gut. Alle Leute dort sind sehr nett und die Kommunikation war völlig unkompliziert. Wo immer möglich, wurde auf unsere Wünsche und Bedürfnisse eingegangen. Da blieben keine Wünsche offen. Es war einfach perfekt! Gerne immer wieder
