Sundays and closed Mondays in winter
Sundays all day and Monday morning in summer
Only fresh fish from the area WITHOUT fittings,
Fideuas rice and suquets on request
If you want to eat fresh fish, this is your place. They serve really big quality fish, most of all fished in Costa Brava. It's maneged by one family, two brothers, on husband, mother... they work really hard and serve you well. They are kind, but don't stand for too talks.
The waiter comes to your table with a chalkboard, where the fishes avalaible are written. If you want to know the prices, you must ask for the menus list. This waiter will explain you how they cook each thing or the origin of the fish. They also have jam Jabugo "Joselito" wich is the best ever, but very expensive.
If you want to taste several different things, you can order half portions. For example, we ordered 2 portions different kinds of clam, half portion whelks, one portion medium prawns, half portion vieira, and shared a medium Turbot, cooked on slices. Obviously, white wine (2 bottles) and at the end, don't forget to try their dessert, tiramisu and chocolate mouse were our choices. For this meal, one couple, we paid around 145€.
The place is special for the fishes, but they work on the dessert excellent, not as usually on restaurants around here. Tiramisu and chocolate mouse were our choices, but don't loose all of them.
The only thing I would improve is on the decoration and the light, the place is too clear, nothing intimate.
They close on sundays on summer but on mondays the rest of the year, so your best option is to phone first (+34 972 25 69 54)

Argentine la meilleure cuisine, les viandes les plus nobles, des plats exquis, des tapas sélectionnés, les viandes nationales et importées. Venez déguster nos plats! The best Argentine cuisine, the best meats, exquisite dishes, selected tapas, national and imported meats. Come and taste our dishes!
Las Golodrinas is an Argentinian restaurant in downtown Roses. They don't have a very large menu of meats, but the quality and quantity is excellent. Waiters are very friendly and the price is very reasonable taking into account the excellent meat you eat. By the way, they have a set of Argentinian starters which are really good!

family restaurant in a quiet area , away from the crowds of summer. food and homemade desserts. ideal for family with children. menù at noon and night. ample parking in front. July and August open every day and night.
This place is great: cheap, well cooked fresh food, good portion sizes. The fish and prawn dishes are particularly good. Worth a visit!

Els Brancs is the gastronomic restaurant of the Hotel Vistabella and its name derives from the small isles anchored directly in front. It is located on a Terrace over a small cliff of the Bonifaci beach. This privileged location not only offers the possibility to admire the famous sunsets, but also pairs perfectly its cuisine with the surroundings of the Bay of Roses. The magnificent natural areas and the rich products of the region, together with the originality and passion are the key factors to let the customers enjoy a sixth sense.
Being frequent guests at El Pirata, we had been told many times we should try Els Brancs, and we chose this one Michelin star restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The experience was truly amazing, including the restaurant decor, the extremely polished service and the excellent food, full of surprises and little details. Thank you Eric Borras and team, for once again making a meal at Hotel Vistabella a truly memorable experience!!!!!

We've been here a couple of times with friends who live in Roses, the first time we had paella which was great, the second time one of the group had steak which was pretty poor quality, then the dessert tiramissu, tasted off, two of us sent them back and they assured us that they were OK as they had only just been taken out of the freezer ...
I wouldn't go back a third time as there are so many other good restaurants to choose from

Having visited Roses in late August/early Sept. for 10 days we found that our hotel was a 40 minute walk from the main town, which suited us. For the first week we went into the main town every night for dinner (there was a bus every hour into and out of town). However, on the one and only Sunday of our stay we decided to go and have a nice lunch and went into the restaurant right next door to our hotel and from then on we went there nearly every night until we left. Chez Paquitto has a really good Chef, we had several different dishes which we could recommend i.e. his: fish stew, seafood paella, mixed paella and fab steaks, we did not have one bad experience with the food or wine. The waiter is extremely pleasant and is also an artist, some of his paintings are hung in the restaurant. Found this restaurant better than any we visited in the main town and would definitely recommend it.

Service was friendly but the food was dull and overpriced. For lunch I ordered calamari and fried fish as two separate dishes, Both were on the small side with no extras of salad or chips. A side salad would cost 4 euros,as would a plate of chips. The bill came to 17 euros as the beer advertised at 1 euro turned out to be a bottle for 2 euros. I would never go again as there are plenty of other eateries offering menus of the day for much cheaper prices.

A small restaurant with tables both inside and out. It was raining and, therefore, we ate in. I had 'Angry' eggs with potatoes and Iberian cured ham or Oeufs en colere au jambon et pommes de terre as the menu stated. At 12 euros it was overpriced; my colleague confirmed my view. She went for the menu del dia which incorporated mussels and was a smarter choice.
